Pet care experience
As a lifelong dog-lover, I've been taking care of both my own dogs and those of friends since I could walk (westies, retrievers, pitbulls, and ever a gang of Newfies.) My Great Dane Stella passed away in October 2019, and I rescued my latest, Luna, in February 2021. I spent time volunteering at the SPCA and other animal shelters to assist with the care and socialization of adoptable dogs (I particularly enjoyed witnessing the shiest come out of their shells!) I have experience with in-home care, as well as dog/house-sitting, with dogs of a wide variety of breeds and sizes. In addition, I love to get outside and be active, so if you're concerned about finding a walker to run with your pup, look no further - I'll enjoy the cuddle after too!

Stephanie is great! She has been wonderful and patient about letting my dog (who can be a little stand offish with new people) warm up to her and get comfortable going with her!

Prior to sitting, I love to know about a dog's energy levels, their likes and dislikes, as well as your training preferences so I can continue to reinforce them (i.e. furniture, rewards, etc.) As for breed preferences, while I am open to all breeds, the bigger the better (I have a soft spot for the big cuddle-bugs)
A typical day
I have a relatively large fenced-in yard that is perfect for exploration and games of fetch, as well as a network of pathways and washes throughout my neighborhood. As an avid athlete, I can guarantee some run-time should that be a preference for your pup, as well as responsible attendance at local dog parks (i.e. I'm familiar with your pup's personality and triggers, as well as your input on preference and their socialization with other dogs.)
