I should have stuck with my initial instinct to go a different route, especially after reading about the other terrible experience someone had. My dogs were fed, and let out, thank goodness for that. I’m not sure much else went on. She waited until after we were out of town to say “I forgot to ask before but can my husband stay with me at the house”. We weren’t entirely pleased with it, but felt there wasn’t much of an option at that point and didn’t want to upset her given she’s pregnant. We asked for his information, which she did send to us. I got some pictures during the stay, I’ll give her that too. On the last night she was supposed to say she tells me she’s sick and can she just go by the next morning- again, I’m not happy about it but want to be understanding. We get home today and we’ll now have to replace 3 doors and attend to damaged wood floors. It happened during the time she was there because we found pieces of the door knobs on the dresser. Yet she never told us about it. She also tried to blame us for her husband being sick. She sent us a CNN article from a “rare case” in Germany and said stuff is going around and it’s related to dogs. She tried to tell me her physician said it was the cause from dog saliva. Bottom line, I do not suggest her to anyone who wants someone staying in their home. Maybe she’d be better at just a dog walk. But I won’t be taking that risk.
