Pet care experience
I've owned dogs, cats and horses since early childhood, and have been pet sitting and boarding for the last 10 years. I have experience with a variety of breeds - everything from wiener dogs to Great Danes, and even included a lizard and chickens on my last appointment! I have experience with dogs with behavioral problems, as well as both owned and boarded dogs with medical issues, so I am able to accurately & safely administer medications and know warning signs to watch for. I take care of my dog's health and diet better than I do my own, and you can expect the same when I watch your pups!

Stephanie was so great with our two very diverse personalities within Walker and Rhea. Managing a senior dog on top of a high energy dog is a lot but Stephanie did it so well. I'm happy to watch your pup at my home - I own my house, and have a little over an acre of property. Please be aware it is not fully fenced yet, so if your pet has recall issues I will make sure they are leashed while outside. There is plenty of open space inside the house if your dog has a crate. I have a neutered 9.5 yr old male Great Dane who loves other dogs and will make a good buddy for your buddy while you're away. He is pretty oblivious to social hierarchies, so whether your dog is m/f, fixed or intact, he doesn't care. We're a pretty active family and are new to the Atlanta area, so would be happy to take your pup out on walks/hikes or to the dog park while we explore our new surroundings! If not that's okay too, we're happy to chill at the house. If you'd rather keep your pup at home, that works too! My flexible schedule makes it easy for me to be there as often as you prefer. If you like, I can bring your pup with us to the dog park or on walks, or can bring my dog by for a playdate, or just pop in and out for some one on one time with your dog also. I know it's stressful leaving our pets behind while we're gone, so happy to do whatever you need to feel comfortable being away, and make sure your fur baby is spoiled rotten while you're gone.

I'm happy to take care of any special requests or needs that you have for your pup. No request is too big or too small- dogs thrive on routine, so I want to make sure I keep things as close to normal as possible. It's already an added stress for them when they notice you're gone, so if I can do a few little things to help normalize their routine while you're away, it should help everything go more smoothly. If I'm boarding your pup, it is important that he/she is okay with other dogs, as I have my own pup they'll be sharing the space with. I'd love to meet up with you at a park or trail ahead of time so the dogs can get to know one another first! If I'm housesitting or doing drop ins/walks for you, it is your choice if my dog is included in that or not. I think it's a good opportunity for your dog and mine to get some playtime & burn some energy while you're gone, but if you prefer, I can do solo visits and leave my guy home while I'm at your place. Happy to discuss all the details ahead of time and find the routine that works best for you and your dog(s)!

I just moved to the Atlanta area, so I'm excited to get out and explore! I've been trying to go to a different trail or park every couple days, and have been scoping out dog parks in my area to find the best ones. I would love to take your kiddo with us on our adventures!

Availability
I am semi retired, so have full availability and can be available on short notice. I have my own vehicle so can transport/pick up your pets when needed, or take them on outings if you allow it. A flexible schedule means I can be available as needed for pups that need frequent potty breaks or have medication requirements, or just snuggle as much as possible (because let's be honest, the snuggles are really what I'm here for!)
