Pet care experience
Hi everyone! My name is Steph and I have been in the dogsitting business for 15+ years. I have taken care of 30 (and counting) different dogs, and have experience with cats, turtles, birds, and bunnies as well. All 30 dogs have been recurring clients for years, and I feel fortunate to have established such strong relationships with these pup's families. I have a huge soft spot for animals and love to help out their owners as often as I can to make sure that their furchild/children are safe and comfortable at home regardless of whether it's a drop-in, a walk, or a long stay while you or you and your family are away on vacation. I am sure to ask about house-rules before taking care of your pet so that while you are away, they have a sense of consistency and carryover. I know many pets that try to get away with things that they are not supposed to do when mom/dad are around, so I try to be a friend but also play the role of you while you're away! I moved to the area for work and am looking to rebuild a network that I have recently lost.

My number one policy is asking questions related to your pets typical day and what they have come to know to expect from you, so that I can mimic the same routine and rules to help them stay on schedule and feel most comfortable. I am always cautious to check fence locks before letting a dog roam free in a fenced-in yard and always double check harnesses/collars for security before going out for a bathroom break/walk. I make sure screen doors are shut tight and locked so there's no room for an accidental door opening situation, giving your dog a chance to escape.

A typical day
I enjoy going for trail walks, so as long as you are comfortable with that, and your dog is comfortable around other dogs, we can go check out new trails. I also enjoy dog parks, so if that's a place your pup enjoys going, we can burn off some energy there, too!

Availability
My work day ends at 2:30, so I am available to swing by for a quick walk/bathroom break if need be for people who work 9-5s. I am free almost every weekend all weekend if you're looking for a quick weekend getaway and need a last minute sitter. I am also free on snowdays/holidays for the most part for full-day assistance if need be.
