(name is Mercury) Howdy, friends! Need someone to check on your kitty or walk your dog while you’re at work or on vacay? Hit me up! I can throw balls all day, run in the yard, go on long walks, or just sit in and relax—whatever your dog wants to do! I’m a huge fan of all dogs, especially big ones! If you need help with it, I can even do some training work. Obedience and agility are my favorites! I’m allergic to cats but willing to suffer the consequences, so I’m only able to do drop-ins for them. Due to COVID-19, I will be doing drop-in visits and walks for clients that are not fully vaccinated but can open up to overnight stays for fully vaccinated families.

I meet potential clients before scheduling a service so the animal knows me when I am in their space, rather than be surprised with a stranger. I inspect fences for weak spots, holes, and potential escape routes during my first visit. Dogs will be walked exclusively on leash and will not engage with other dogs or people during walks unless explicitly allowed by their owner to avoid altercations. My hands are gentle but my voice is firm; the animals know I am in charge but I am not to be feared.

I prefer a meet-and-greet with owner/handler and dog before scheduling so I can get to know the dog ahead of time! Please provide written instructions if we have forgotten to discuss something prior to scheduling.
A typical day
We’ll walk in the neighborhood or on trails. We could go on light hikes, if that’s okay! I’m full of energy, so if your dog wants to play all day, that’s fine with me! Lazy evenings on the couch are fine, too. Several breaks to relieve themselves throughout the stay, supervised meal time and a water bowl that’s always filled will ensure your pup is happy and well. Let me know what his favorite kind of toy is and he might get a special prize for outstanding behavior!

Availability
I am in grad school and have a busy week, but check out my weekends! I have my own car and can travel to you for whatever services you require. The bulk of my day will be filled with class and work during the school year but my evenings will be wide open for dinner time and evening Zoomies, kisses, and snuggles in your home.
