My family of four has a love for all animals. I would be thrilled to walk your dog, or welcome them into our home for a stay while you are away. I am also able to do drop-ins to check on the pets in your home. Please read the information below about my various services. DOG BOARDING: We would love to welcome your pet into our home and treat it like part of our family. As a stay at home mom of teenagers, I am home during the day and able to devote my time to your fur baby. I understand that your dog is a special part of your family and life, and I know how important it is to have trust in the person caring for your pet when you are not able to. I take that responsibility seriously. Every pet that stays with us is treated how we would treat our own dog...with love, care and compassion. I pride myself on being reliable, honest and working hard to earn your pet’s trust and love. We incorporate plenty of walks and cuddles into our daily routine, and the whole family becomes involved in the responsibilities of the animals in our care. We have a small dog of our own, as well as some geckos. As an active family, we love to go hiking, cycling, skiing and swimming. It's great when we have 4 legged friends to accompany us on our hikes and walks. There are plenty of forest trails and parks near our house. In our home, your dog will receive at least one walk a day if they like that, and plenty of play and snuggle time. An average day for your dog looks like this: Wake up and go for a 15-20 min walk first thing. Come home and have some breakfast followed by a little bit of play and/or cuddle, depending on the individual needs. I often need to go out late morning for 2-4 hours to walk other dogs that are not staying with me. At this time the dogs are all kept separated by the gates we have in our home, and they enjoy a little nap time. When I return home we go for a longer walk of around 30 mins (provided your dog likes that). Your dog will sleep in our room on a dog bed (ours or yours). There is also ample opportunity to spend time outside in the fully fenced yard each day. I always provide updates and photos of your dog so you know how they are doing and what they have been up to. Before you finalize your dog's first stay with us, we would love for you to drop by our house with your dog for a short meet and greet. This will ensure that your dog gets along well with us, and give them the opportunity to sniff around and become familiar with us and our environment to ease their stress when they come to stay. DOG WALKING: Sometimes there is not enough time to give your dog the walks they need. Whether its occasional or daily, I would love to give your dog some exercise to take some of the pressure off of you. I love to walk, and its always better to have a buddy with me. Please feel free to contact me with your dog walking needs. I will always offer a free visit to your home before your dog's first walk is confirmed. This will give you and your dog an opportunity to meet me and see if we are the right fit, and for you to explain all the specifics I need to know about your dog. DROP-IN VISITS: I would be happy to drop by your home to check on your pet(s) while you are away. I am able to care for many types of animals, from dogs and cats, to hedgehogs, guinea pigs, birds, lizards and fish. Just let me know what you need and I would be happy to spend some time caring for your pet(s). After contacting me I will usually set up a time with you where I can meet you at your house to give your pet an opportunity to meet me, and for you to show me everything I need to know about your animal. ____________________________________ In the past, we have owned cats, hamsters, turtles, frogs, fish, birds and other dogs. I have experience working as a veterinary assistant for over 2 years, and it was a great opportunity to learn so much about animal care. We would love to board your dog or other pets, from lizards to birds to hedgehogs! We look forward to caring for your pets!
