Animals have always been part of my life, rodents to cats, dogs, rabbits and horses too! I have 2 dogs who are 12 and 13 years old now, Mollie (Patterdale x Lab) and Robbie (Husky x Lab). But Fin was my first dog, he was part of the trio a Collie/Lurcher/German Shepherd cross, we had an amazing connection, he as are the others, was a rescue dog, but Fin was the biggest handful (nicknamed Asbo!). He came to me at 10 months old and needed A LOT of training to learn about life and socialising, he was found on the streets of Bradford. An absolute amazing boy, with a big heart of gold, a joy to be around, he's hugely missed! Mollie is a Patterdale x Lab, rescue. She is very busy all the time being a terrier, however, she does suffer from seizures and also Pancreatitis, so I have to keep a close eye on her at all times. Robbie is a Husky/Lab cross, rescue. He's so laid back he's horizontal, literally the laziest dog I've ever come across! But, he's very loving and is an old man now that needs additional care as he has eye issues and kidney disease. Having these issues doesn't stop him doing what he loves best, going for a mooch, cwtching and he loves to sunbathe! We also have chickens which are ex battery hens. Basically, they are the hens that have been rescued from the slaughter house, and now have a lovely time chilling/retiring in the paddock! I have experience with elderly, young and troubled dogs. My dogs have a pretty good life on our 15 acre smallholding which has meadows and a small river to play in!
