Pet care experience
I have owned dogs my entire life, and have always been surrounded by a range of animals, from turtles and fish to cats and dogs (big and small), and even mini pigs. I've always been an animal lover, and enjoy any opportunity I have to be around animals. Right now, I have a German Shepherd named Luke and a Miniature Dachshund named Rhett - they are the loves of my life. I enjoy this job because it provides flexibility and combines my love of providing help to people and animals. I will provide the best care for your animals, I understand that pets are like family and will treat them with as much love and respect as my own. Being an animal owner my entire life has helped me develop the skills necessary to be a responsible, loving, and safe caretaker. ***UPDATE*** I am currently a night shift nurse who works 12-15 hour days 3-4 days a week so I don’t have a lot of flexibility but feel free to reach out and if I’m able to be of service, I would be happy to help!

The only thing I am really concerned about is how aggressive a dog is- I will care for Pitbulls, German Shepherds and other breeds typically deemed "aggressive" (although I've owned a few of these breeds and have had only great experiences) but I will need to know any tendencies they have to attack people/other dogs so I can take proper precautions. I would also like to know of any things they like/dislike and any needs or schedules they follow.
A typical day
Walks and dog parks are some things that your dog can look forward to while I am caring for them. If there is a yard, I will spend as much time as I can making sure we play with balls/frisbees, and running around playing as possible.
