Pet care experience
I joined Rover to share the love I have for dogs (and pets) with others! Our dog, Joey, has been a part of our family for almost two years. Before that, I have over 9 years of pet care experience including sitting, walking, and basic grooming. I work M-F, but my husband works from home and is around all day, and I have lunch breaks some afternoons, getting home for the evening around 6 PM. I do not work on the weekends. I have amateur dog-training skills (that worked great for our pup) and I’d love to share with your dogs, if that interests you! Our back yard has tons of room for pups to run. Inside, dogs are free to roam. We do not require them to sleep in kennels/crates, unless that is what you prefer! We can provide kennels, walks, runs, dog park visits, baths, basic grooming, and any special care your pup needs! Our dog Joey (spayed) gets along with all other dogs and loves to play with her new friends! I’d love to have your dog join our family for a while! I would also love to help you out by providing in-home care or walks. Dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes welcome! As a dog mom myself, I understand missing your dog-children; this is why I give text-call-social media (snaps or story) updates however often owners would like.

Steph kept in touch with pictures and videos of our pups, along with updates and information, including walks and hikes. Our dogs truly had a "pupcation" and I would recommend with the highest regard.
My dogs seemed to have loved their stay. They were so tired from playing they fell asleep right in the car!

Leaving our dog while we were visiting for a short stay was hard but with the crazy schedule and wanting a little break, we looked to the convenience of a doggy daycare. As reviews seemed optimal, we asked about the timing of doggy daycare and the flexibility for a Saturday and all seemed great! However, it was so stressful and slightly annoying to have to constantly figure out when we were bringing the dog and when we were taking her back. As going with the flow goes, there wasn't a set time for our day of break but regardless, we felt rushed and unable to relax unless we had muted the phone. I'm grateful that our pooch got plenty of play and the time to socialize with other dogs but we were also not expecting her to be lethargic, vomiting, and have diarrhea the next day. So in terms of price, it was comparable to other rover sitters, but next time we would look into paying a little more for a little more ease of mind and minimal hassle.

A typical day
Walks in the neighborhood, visits to the nearby dog park, trips to Eagle River Nature center down the road, games like frisbee and fetch in the back yard, and runs up to 3-5 miles! (All activities subject to weather and owner’s approval, of course!)

We have a 5 year old retriever-mix pup, so adding your pet to the mix is not far off from our daily routine! I’ll accommodate for your pet’s schedule as necessary
