While my husband and I grew up with dogs of all sizes and shapes, we began sitting on Rover about 3 years ago after we lost two of our dogs due to old age. We weren't ready for a new dog, but our 3rd pup, Kaiju - a Foxton (Boston/Fox terrier mix) - was obviously lonely. We started sitting as a way to keep her occupied, but it has quickly become something we love doing! I mean, who wouldn't love getting paid to play with dogs? There will always be someone available to walk, play, and snuggle your pup while they are staying with us. I work from home 2 days a week, but even days I'm in the office I'm just a few miles away so I can swing home at lunch to take them on walks, or just give them belly rubs between naps! We also have a large fenced backyard so they can run around, get some sunshine and bark at squirrels (always while supervised of course). My favorite thing is when a dog returns for a second visit and they get excited when they see our front door! We would love the chance to snuggle with your dog while you are away from home.
