Pet care experience
I have grown up around dogs all of my life. My parents are the type of people who would find animals on the street and bring them home; so having a house full of animals is my norm! I currently have two dachshunds, and have been dog-sitting/walking with Rover and independently since 2014. I can accommodate (most) needs required for each animal: feeding, walking/exercise, petting, medication, etc. I recently fostered a double, backlogged amputee pup for 6 months, so I am comfortable with taking care of special needs dogs. Most importantly, I can ensure your dog(s) feel at home and cared for while you are away. I understand the worry of leaving my dogs in someone else's care, and therefore strive to ensure your and your pets' comfort while away.

Stefanie is hands down the best pet sitter I have ever used. I could not be more grateful for the love and care that she provided for both my pets (dog and cat). My dog wasn't feeling well the day I was leaving (bathroom issues) and Stefanie agreed to stay an extra night without any advanced notice. Additionally, since my dog was having stomach troubles Stefanie offered to cook for my dog to help him start feeling better. This was such a relief! I knew instantly that my dog was in good hands. Stefanie provided me with lots of updates and photos as requested. I will always look to book with Stefanie when I am going out of town; she really went above and beyond. Stephanie and her husband were great with our dog Ruby. Stephanie gave us regular updates and pictures to let us know how she was doing. I really appreciated the updates as this was Ruby's first time being away from us. I highly recommend Stephanie if you want that special attention and care for your dog.

A typical day
Because I am used to taking my own dogs on multiple walks a day, I will take pups that I am watching on multiple daily walks, even when there is a backyard. Speaking of which, if I am staying at a home with a backyard, I enjoy playing outdoors with dogs or even just reading while they run around. If a dog is staying at my home, I enjoy going out to dog parks occasionally, but prefer to take dogs out on trails or open areas to explore.
