Stefanie and Nathan have owned dogs and watched dogs for others their entire lives. Stefanie currently works at an animal hospital in Chicago and previously worked for a dog daycare for 6 years. She’s loved every minute of both of these positions and continually enjoys going to work every single day! We own three dogs ourselves, Abby, an all white Husky who is 9 years old who we rescued her from a shelter when she was 4, Stanley, a 5 year old Sharpei-Hound mix who we adopted recently after a close relative passed on, and Louise, who is our 1.5 year old black Husky who is a ball of puppy energy. Between us being on Rover for three years and Stefanie taking our girls with her to work at the animal hospital, they are very well socialized to all sorts of dogs. Whether they're small or large, puppies or older dogs they love the interaction and can scale appropriately. Stef and Nate have basic knowledge of dog medications and avid experience recognizing behavioral traits and needs of dogs. Your fur kids are allowed to lounge on furniture if they like (or not if you prefer to maintain a habit) or they have their choice of multiple dog beds throughout the house! He even works outside in the backyard during the more hospitable months occasionally so the dogs will get plenty of outside time and play time. Stefanie works at the animal hospital full time but is home most of Tuesday, all of Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday each week! We have a big backyard where your dog and ours can do all the zoomies and play! We also go on early morning/evening walks frequently. However, we do keep in mind environmental conditions like intense heat/cold and hot or salty (winter only) pavement to be sure we keep your fur kids safe from the elements until it becomes a bit more hospitable for walking. Additionally we can crate or not upon request for your fur kid.
