Pet care experience
**Please note as of 04/2024, I am unable to clean litter boxes. If your kitty doesn’t use one or you only need someone for one night, I should be able to help. Otherwise, you’ll want to find a different sitter** I started pet/house sitting for families over 20 years ago as a side-gig while working for Nike. It soon evolved into word-of-mouth referrals and some consistent customers and their fur babies who became friends. Growing up, our family had Molly (Dalmatian), Popcorn (Maltese), and Stanley (Beagle). I took being an independent dog mom seriously when Piper became part of my own little family in 2019. Piper and I have the most fun! Thanks to the pandemic, we met several folx at the dog park who became our community. Piper and I stay active - whether its a weekly trip to Thousand Acres, a swim in the Willamette, inviting over another furry friend for a playdate, or pulling me on a bike (she *is* a working dog!) We love staying busy, playing, socializing, and learning. In looking for some pet care for Piper on Rover, I found people to be non-responsive, flakey/no-show, or not really showing care (for my schedule, home, etc…so many stories). I’m hoping to provide for you what I would want in someone who I’d entrust with Piper.
Reviews
Stefanie was awesome! I had peace of mind knowing my kitty was in good hands while I was away. She brought in my mail and packages and left everything clean and tidy. Will definitely book her next time I go out of town!
Stefanie was so great with Maisie! She responded very quickly, was incredibly thoughtful and creative.
Just got home after first time using Stefanie and it went fantastic! One of my cats needs supplements and meds and Stefanie gave detailed updates about what he got and when. Very communicative and helpful! Very small side note, I'm SO happy the litter is swept up off the floor, many cat sitters overlook little details like that! I'll definitely be rebooking for future trips if availability lines up! Even my shy "scaredy cat" loved Stefanie!
Stefanie took great care of my kitty and house and she kept me updated on how things were going. I will definitely ask her to come back!

Safety, trust & environment
I can pop in and stay for as long as you and your fur baby need. I will let your fur baby outside for some fresh air, ensure that the water bowl is fresh, give treats (if desired), and pick up any potty accidents if there are any visible. If you would like them to have some playtime/social interaction, I can bring Piper along for them to play for a little bit, as well. You call the shots!

Information Stefanie G. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know the routine that you usually provide for your pet. To me, it’s really important to stick to that sense of familiarity for your pet. It can help build trust. I would also like to know if there are any special needs or things to consider like making sure a fence gate is closed before letting the dog in the backyard, offering special treats to your kitty, or anything else.
A typical day
Piper and I stay busy and I can offer the same for your pet. We take two walks a day, visit a local park once a day for some fetch/soccer/free run, hit up the Willamette River for swimming or Thousand Acres for some trail exploration and swimming. Piper also loves treat/food puzzles which I can gladly share.

Availability
I work from home M-F and my job is incredibly flexible. I typically workout in the early mornings (before 7am) four to five days a week, as well.
