Stefanie is awesome! We had to leave our dog for the first time since we adopted him six months ago, and we were SO nervous. We were reading Rover profiles for weeks and contacted a few people, but it wasn't until we found Stefanie that we knew we had found someone we felt comfortable to leave our dog with. Her first communications with us put us at ease so much that we booked our dog's stay with her and our flights before even having met. When we did meet we could see right away that Stefanie is very knowledgeable about animal behavior and safety. We had some specific concerns about our dog with leash and toy aggression. He actually displayed some of his toy aggression right there at the meet and greet with Stefanie's sweet dog, Gus, and one of her very friendly regulars. But where I was just yelling at him to stop, Stefanie knew how to calmly handle the situation. We also had anxiety about him escaping into traffic or jumping off the roof deck, but she assured us that she would keep him safe and happy while we were gone. A couple of hours after we left, we got our first update, and our dog was already behaving less possessively with toys. We received lots of great photos and updates over the the five days we were gone. Stefanie and her wife said they would treat our dog like family, and they did. They took him on an adventure with Gus to Prospect Park (after asking us) and it looked like he was having more fun than we were. He looked so happy in all of his photos that our only worry became wondering if he'd be disappointed to come home with us. But we were truly so happy that he was having such a great time and, by the end of his stay, was even sharing his toys and practically spooning with Gus. He was even getting along with the cat! We'll never be happy to leave our dog, but we are so grateful to have found someone we trust to take care of him when we have to. We highly recommend Stefanie!!
