All Dogs love to go for a Walk!
Pet care experience
I have a Rover friend and have been going on her walks for months now and have decided to start my own page/clientele! I have seen how afraid many dogs are at having their owners leave and a stranger come in but it only takes once and they have great memories and are always glad to see me again! Is there a dog who does NOT like to go for a walk? Outdoors for a walk and lots of love makes all dogs so happy! I have been helping my Rover friend "Terri" walk her customers since last fall and now am in shape for the hills of S.F. and Oakland, no small feat..! I, like everyone, love animals and they return the love/happiness/excitement. Dogs are "pack animals" and prefer company, socializing at dog parks and a general ruckus.. Except for the shy ones, then i have to get down on my hands and knees to not be tall/imposing and talk to them. We always end up friends! Cats are interesting to me and i can get most of them to come up to say hi, but as we all know, some just won't... Food and water are required for all pets and i have a reliable old truck and a sense of responsibility with a prompt and on time history/nature. I am neat, clean, quiet, non-smoking, healthy and fit. I have references! I put love and focus into taking care of your pet and yes, i reap the blessings of your happy pet too! I do well with supposed "difficult, special needs" dogs. I end up pals with dogs who kind of ran off other sitters! lol. A firm yet kind masculine demeanor helps along with respect for the dog's parameters/issues/history Why I love dog sitting I grew up with a beautiful Collie (high maintenance fur!) and had a sweet red female, long eared Dobie in my thirties. A cat beat up my Dobie, that's how sweet she was. I've had cats mostly due to a busy sched, one can leave food out and the cat is usually a-ok with it. My brother has/had birds, fish and lizards but i prefer something warm and furry... My experience administering medication Yes, and the difficulties and tricks they use to avoid ingesting such... My friend does "sub-cutaneous hydration" which looks simple enough but i could get specific training from her if needed.

This guy is the worst and he should never be responsible for an animal ever again. My house was left a mess. Litter, food, and water all over the floor. Also, he left my heat on 80 with all my windows open. He didnt clean the litter box or feed the cats the last few days we were gone. This guy is the worst.
This guy was the worst. We came back to an extremely messy apartment. Cat food, litter and water all over the floor, our heater was turned up to 80 and all the windows were left open, we are missing packages, he didnt clean our cat's litter the last two days, and he over fed my cats and they didnt have food the last day we were gone. This guy shouldn't be allowed to watch animals. I talked to Rover about this incident and never got a call back. Makes me wonder how good of a service this is at all.
Stefan was so great with my cat! I really appreciated the daily pictures and updates, and it was nice to know that she was in good hands!
Steve was wonderful! Our usual sitter was unable to cat-sit so we were so relieved to find Steve. He came and met our cat beforehand and was very kind. He is thorough in his drop ins and is very responsive. We look forward to hiring him again ?

I like to know if the dog plays well with other dogs. I never take a dog off the leash unless in an enclosed dog park. I need to know if there are age related issues per walking: speed, terrain, distance. One old Lab was dragging her hind feet and i saw that her toe nails were wearing down to the point of bleeding. She complained none due to every dogs desire to be outdoors and on an adventure but i had to carry her back to the house. I have no preference per breeds. I've been walking with my friends Pit Bulls and they are very nice pooches. They react according to how they were raised, I've heard.
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog I work for myself and have mornings and evenings for walks but can get in a lunch time walk if needed, or stop by and feed/water. Often i have a whole day or can sched one or more in if you need. Extra house-sitting services Yes, it's just my nature to water a starving plant, clean up a bit and leave things better than when i arrived, if needed. An extra charge can be added(?) if you want deep cleaning, laundry done etc.
