Growing up with a big yard, my family raised chickens, took in stray cats and loved them as our own, and ran around with our dogs in the yard. My favorite part of growing up was waking up the sound of our love birds chirping in the morning and I enjoyed stretching out of bed and feeding them in the early morning sun. Growing up I was responsible for helping to take care of all of the animals we cared for on our little property and they all became my family. Soon I was helping to take care of the cows and horses at my neighbors house while they would be away on vacation, and became familiar with the routines required for bigger animals. A family of cross country team members also entrusted me with house sitting their off-the-grid homestead and had the privilege of taking care of their solar power, self fed home! In my childhood yard, I also became familiar with gardening and caring for the yard. I enjoy running and would be happy to run with your dog if that is what they need! I also would be happy to take them on a hike or swim. For dogs with limited mobility if we do exercise, I am sure to check in constantly to see how they are doing. Snuggles and cuddles and quality time galore should be expected (if your fur family wants this of course). I love connecting with animals and learning more about life through their eyes!
