Hi I am Stan, I have been an owner of dogs for over 35 years My first dog came to live with me when I was 7 years old. It was a Jack Russell terrier called Nipper, that lived to the ripe old age of 18 years. Nipper definitely live up to its name and its reputation as a terrier. Since losing nipper I have had 3 rescue staffordshire bull terriers. the last of these is bella whom still shares my home part time, but mainly lives with my partner at her home. I currently have a staffy puppy called Tash, that lives full time with me full time. We enjoy plenty of walks throughout the day either in a pack or as couples (1 Dog and 1 Person). As a highly active and physically fit and enjoy running with my dogs, playing ball, frisbee and stick chasing. I am confident in working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I realise the importance of staying alert to environmental factors that can trigger reactions in dogs and in maintaining control of a dogs attention during distracting and potentially distressing times. Healthy play with other dogs is crucial in developing doggy social skills and I encourage dogs playing nicely together, I am comfortable handling aggressive, reactive or anxious dogs and assist with developing their tolerances, social and obedience skills. I provide a comfortable dog friendly family home for boarding and sitting. I have access to two decent sized fenced gardens the downstairs of my home including family sitting area with access to one garden and quiet room with bean bags and crates. If your dogs feel safer and more comfortable in a crate than on a couch or bean bag I have number of Crates of various sizes available to use. I am always willing and able to negotiate special requirements for boarding, home visits, pick up, vet trips and collections. I have enhanced criminal records clearance which customers can view plus long history of working with vulnerable people as an NHS professional.
