Dogs are treasured fur babies!

Pet care experience

I have been an animal lover all my life! I have grown up with the love of many dogs and cats, and wish to give love back to as many as I can! I’ve learned a great deal about responsibility and compassion while caring for dogs, and I want to pass these lessons on to my children--as well as expose them to a variety of dogs. I feel very blessed to be able to make my passion for animals into something that can also help others. I have had dogs my entire life, and have loved every minute! My most recent dog was a Beagle, but I have had experience with tons of dogs: from Chihuahuas to Yorkies to Pugs to Boston Terriers to Rottweilers and many more! In addition to being a dog owner, I have a long history of professional experience. I work with an agency that does dog boarding/sitting, where I have been lucky enough to take care of tons of different breeds. My career in dog sitting began as merely house sitting when I was 19, and I knew it was a good fit for me. Sitting was a part-time opportunity for me until 2016 when I decided to make my dream of caring for dogs into this career. I haven’t looked back since! I have also been the dog handler for the Field General, JJ, at Jimmy John’s field in Utica for the 2021 season. I will be home to cuddle your pup most of the day, except for when I drop off/pick up my boys from school. That means that I’m a good fit for pups that are used to having a human presence around them during the day. If your pooch likes car rides, they are welcome to come along as well! Your pup will love to run around in our large, fenced-in backyard. When we’re done playing in the backyard, we can go for a walk around the block - if it’s not too cold! My boys love to play fetch with the dogs too! They will get plenty of love and attention in our home. My entire family loves dogs and having them in our home. We provide an experience that is relaxing and playful throughout the day, not just time in a cage! Your pup(s) will be given plenty of love and attention, as well as get the opportunity to make new friends! I always take the time to get to know each of my doggy clients to make sure they are totally taken care of when they’re under my care. I also am very careful to make sure to follow all of the instructions I receive from owners to a “t”. I try to maintain consistency with their methods to reinforce their current training. After all, no one knows their dog better than they do!

We are so thankful to have found Stacy and her family, she was so helpful, patient and loving to our Tomás. Every day she would send updates, videos and pictures of our boy having the best of time, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our time away from home. We will never leave him anywhere else! Thank you again so much Stacy!

I can't express how wonderful Stacy and her family is! Not only do you get Stacy taking care of your pup, you get her hubby and boys pitching in too! I knew Lola was in good hands and felt completely comfortable leaving our 3 month old puppy with Stacy! Stacy sent a little daily update with a pic or video, showing how much fun Lola had during her stay with her family and their dogs. I highly recommend Stacy and have already scheduled a future stay for Lola! ?

Our Cooper LOVES Stacy and her family. We did a “trial” sleepover before a long trip and he was so happy to be part of this home. We can now enjoy our vacay knowing he’s well cared for.

Information Stacy S. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: -Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? -What’s your preferred method of communication? -Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? -Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? -Is your dog spayed/neutered? -Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? -What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? -What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

We know that a healthy dog is a happy dog, so getting lots of playtime and exercise in is a huge part of our time together. There are plenty of great things to do nearby! We live very close to George George Park, which is absolutely beautiful, no matter the season! I have enjoyed taking my own dog in the past, and we’d be happy to go any time. We are also minutes away from a dog park, if that is something you are comfortable with. The dogs there are always very friendly and we love watching them socialize together. Our neighborhood consists of homes built in the 50’s. Many owners have been in the houses for 30 plus years, but there are a few younger couples around. We have neighbor dogs on 2 sides of our fence. This makes outside time a little extra interesting and exciting! I love that our neighbors are dog friendly and always seem happy to see who is new today! Our yard is relatively large and gives the dogs a lot of free range to stretch their legs and run!
