Experienced, reliable, dog lover!
Pet care experience
A dog owner all my life, I have adopted rescued dogs which needed training and special care with age, including administering medication. I have taken puppy training classes and worked with my own and others' dogs in basic obedience and learning fun 'tricks'. A volunteer at the Humane Society for several years, I've trained with the dog walking lead, assist in operations and foster cats. Long walks with dogs make an enjoyable part of my days as I love dogs! Additionally, I enjoy and care for cats, including my own, others' cats and foster cats, as well as small animals, such as guinea pigs. With my kids in high school and out of homeschool, I have entered a new chapter in my life which allows me to schedule time to walk and care for pets, volunteer at the Humane Society, and to work in the dog daycare and boarding industry. I love exercise and incorporating dog walking is great fitness for both of us. During school hours, I have the greatest availability, along with many evenings and weekend hours. I live in a neighborhood with lots of green space and walking trails, which I use to take long, and varying walks about. Our home is smoke-free and home to two fur babies - a 3 y.o. 60 lb shepherd/collie mix who is good with dogs and enjoys gentle play, and 1 adopted cat. My teenage daughters are also around at times for extra love.

Dallas and I are so blessed to have found Stacy! She goes above and beyond and always gives him a nice long walk. She spends time helping him relax before she leaves, as he is a new rescue with separation anxiety. She has even been teaching him shake and to lie down. I have 100% trust leaving him in her care. He has been a bit of a challenging rescue, as I work longer hours, and she is a huge blessing to help him make it through the day!
Stacy is fantastic!! She takes so much time with Dallas (my new rescue) and I know it is the highlight of his day to have his walk with her when I am at work. She is always on time and spends extra time with him after the walk and plays with him. She always sends pictures and updates after each walk. I trust her 100% and am so grateful for her!
Stacy is the best dog walker I have ever had & she’s a lifesaver when I work 12 hour shifts or travel. I feel totally comfortable leaving my pup & kitties in her care and that is priceless! She is so sweet, truly loves the pets & goes above & beyond. We love her!
Stacy has been a complete blessing for both my dog and myself! Highly recommend her as a pet sitter!

My neighborhood has lots of green space and walking trails, which I use to take long, and varying walks about. Our home is smoke-free and home to two fur babies - a 3 y.o. 60 lb shepherd/collie mix who is good with dogs and enjoys gentle play, and 1 adopted cat. I have two adults, including myself, and two high school daughters living with our pets. In your home, I take special care to leave it as I found it, or better, entering, leaving, and caring for your pets and home per your directions and per how I would care for my own pets and property.
Information Stacy M. would like to know about your pet
Knowing ANY dog or people aggression tendencies or experiences is a must. Any medical needs or history, such as anxiety, aggression, possessive behaviors, should be shared to provide the safest environment for everyone. Any dogs considered for boarding must be well-behaved and socialized without issues with accidents indoors or chewing non-dog toys. I believe all dogs, independent of breed or size, can be loving, fun companions.
A typical day
Dogs walking with me can expect walks along community trails and neighborhood sidewalks at their own pace. If dogs prefer to play games, such as fetch in an enclosed space, or to cuddle, be brushed, practice tricks for treats, etc. the session is open for fun!

Availability
My professional background is in diagnostic molecular research, including a graduate degree in Molecular Biology. For many years I homeschooled my special needs daughter while volunteering in the public schools and with the Girls Scouts. I have the greatest availability during school hours, especially the afternoon, along with many evenings and weekend hours.
