Certified ASPCA Foster Caregiver
Pet care experience
I am a registered foster caregiver for the Humane Society. My home has been inspected to foster, I am also licensed and insured! That being said, we provide a loving home environment for your family member’s stay. Your furbaby will be in good hands in our home! ***I specialize in small FurBaby care. It can get a little hairy when impromptu play breaks out with medium pups and the little’s together! So for safety’s sake, I am only taking littles now! I do have a couple medium exceptions that have boarded in the past that I trust and will be repeat clients however. I also have extensive experience in senior care. I have had a Silky Terrier for 15 years, a Lhasa Apso for 13 years, a Chow St. Bernard Mix for 6 years, and a cat for 19 years. We love having fur friends, I do this because it brings fur friends to Pearl, our 2 year old Havanese, and the enjoyment it brings to our lives. She makes a wonderful ambassador! Your FurBaby will always have a friend in her. She can play super gentle, or race around playing chase on and off all day! We also have 3 Silkie Bantam chickens that pups love to look at during trips to the backyard as well as a fenced koi fish pond, no skinny dipping for the pups allowed! Lol I take pictures and send updates twice daily ( at least!) of your pup so you can see what shenanigans he and/or she are up to! I am 57, I am retired, and my full time attention is caring for your pup(s). I am dependable and have your pet’s best interests at heart. I have been looking forward to doing this for years! This is my dream job. I have a friend in Tampa who started doing this 20 years ago and I always thought, one day… Your babies will be my babies in your absence. I have all the time in the world! Your pups will never be left alone, with the exception of a doctor or dentist appointment, ugh lol! I am being paid to watch your family member and that is what I will do! I have a fenced yard and a large covered back deck for plenty of exercise with balls and play time when the yard is wet.
Reviews
Maizy came home a happy dog. She was happy to see me at he end of the day but seemed happy to hang out a while longer too. She met new friends, played hard, and came home with tired paws. I think Stacy, Pearl, and Fred are beloved friends now.
Stacy is the BEST. She sends great updates and my dogs love going there. It makes trips much easier when I know my pups will be in her care, she treats them so well.
We loved Stacy! She took excellent care of Cooper and kept us updated with plenty of fun pictures. Cooper had the time of his life! Highly recommend Stacy!
I love that Stacy gives a report (in my dog’s voice) and shares photos, three times a day. I love keeping up with how & what my dog is doing, while I am away. Thank you again, Stacy!

I will care for your babies like I have cared for my babies. I have never kenneled my pets and I understand why this is such a great option for families. I take care of taking care, very seriously! I have 3 gated areas in my home on the main floor - the kitchen, dining and living room areas can be open as one area or gated for feeding time, playtimes, and other different needs. All feeding requirements can be met including raw. Because the holidays are a very busy time, I will be at my limit and so for safety reasons I do not take new clients during this time as I need to be certain that the pups are social and there will not be any behavioral issues.

Information Stacy L. would like to know about your pet
Meds to be given? Special training I need to continue in your absence?Treat or chew toy aggressions? Emergency contacts, including one family or friend, and vet info. I will also need a copy of current vaccination record for my insurance records.
A typical day
Lots of hugs and kisses, and trips to the backyard for fetch or for games of chase with Pearl! Lounging on my large covered deck, weather permitting. My couch is centered by a window for their viewing pleasure, many passerbys with fur friends to look at. Lots of squeaky toys, tug of war and antler bones to occupy their day! Our backyard has lots of landscaping to explore, and sniff, and “stuff.” Squirrels use our fence line as a highway so there is plenty of action for pups to delight in! I enjoy walks with the pups weather permitting, our neighborhood has lots of fun sniffing areas to stop and enjoy along the way! I have snuffle rugs to hide treats in for enrichment activities as well as lick mats for extra fun!

The first thing I do when I wake up is hit the back door for everyone to go potty, and the last thing I do at night. Their schedule is my schedule and my needs get squeezed in between!
