Pet care experience
I've cared for my own cats and dogs for over 30 years. I often pet sit for friends when they go out of town. I periodically foster for a local pug rescue. I offer services via Rover because I love animals and miss having my own pets. I have experience administering topical (e.g., eye) and oral medications and have cared for blind dogs.

This was my first time using Rover and the whole experience was terrific. Stacy was easy to contact and her home was clean and well set up for my little dog. She is very skilled with small dogs and cats and had no problems with my dog's soft food diet and her limited mobility. I loved getting a couple of updates on Cocoa over the weekend. I would definitely book Stacy again!

Stacy was extremely careful with our Shitzu, Amy. Always keeping us informed about everything that was happening. She helped us with a spare leash since ours broke. She also had a lot of patience and care for our 13-year-old Amy, who has a somewhat challenging temperament. Surely, the next times I have to leave Amy with someone, Stacy will always be our first choice. Thank you.

I will privide a low key, low stress atmosphere for your dog(s). I love to play and snuggle with them and will always respect their boundaries. It’s important to me that they feel safe. I realize they may feel nervous with a strange person at first. I will follow their normal routines (w/o walks). I periodically foster for a local pug rescue, so please check in with me about whether or not me bringing along a foster would be okay. We can sort this out with a meet and greet.

I prefer that your dogs be either microchipped or wear a good ID tag on their collar or harness. I cannot sit for dogs that will bite.
A typical day
With your permission I can take your pup to an off leash dog park nearby. In the mean time, I will play and snuggle with them inside and take them in short walks outside.

Availability
Earlier this year I had no choice but to cancel a Rover job last minute due to the sudden onset of a medical condition. As a result, stairs are a bit challenging and I am unable to provide long dog walks. I prefer to house/dog sit if your home only has few stairs to the outside. A secure, fully fenced yard is a bonus! I work from home and can give your dog or cat all the time, care and attention they deserve while you're away.
