Experienced pup lover
Pet care experience
Hi there! I’m Stacy and I love dogs! I've worked for Austin Pets Alive so I'm very familiar with. different temperaments and pup needs. I've also run a pet-sitting and dog walking business for several years, both here on Rover and independently. I'm experienced in handling dogs with a variety of both behavior and medical issues. One of my favorite sayings is "Dogs are the best people" :). They are pure little creatures and have such unique and sweet personalities! Their love is completely unconditional and they soak up love from you like a sponge. As a pet owner, I have cared for both puppies and elderly dogs, including those with special medical needs. My work with APA required in-depth dog training and handling techniques as well as experience in pup body language. I’ve also volunteered at other no-kill shelters and have ran my own business as a dog walker and pet-sitter in my previous home state. I know how hard it is to be away from your fur-baby, so I’m always sure to take and send lots of text and photo updates so you know that your pups are safe and happy. I also find that it helps to ease the anxiety that comes with leaving your dog with someone new. In addition to my experience with our canine companions, I am also skilled in the care of feline friends. I have owned several cats and have enjoyed their unique personalities and how they show their love in different ways. I would be happy to care for any cat, or any other pet you have, on Rover. I just can’t wait to meet you!
Reviews
Well, Stacy is one of a kind ! She is super sweet, funny and my puppy ? had an absolutely amazing day with her. Evie was completely in peace with her all day long and learnt new tricks. Stacy is super attentive, sent photos and videos all day and had a good time with my puppy. Thank you !
Tilly, our labdoodle loved Stacy. Loved all the pictures. Stacy took special care to calm this dog who hates fireworks. Communicates well and asks pertinent questions. She managed our csts as well. Recommend Stacy to others- she will help relieve your "leaving" angst.
Stacy was amazing. Super communicative and easy to coordinate with. It was my first time leaving my dog with someone and she alleviated any anxiety by checking in a ton to let me know how things were going while I was away.
Stacy was awesome! Izzy had a blast she provided lots of photos! She also took great care of my home!

I usually let the pup take the lead. I pride myself on my ability to *read" a dog and get an idea of their personality and energy level and adjust our activities accordingly. I also have a lot of experience with dogs that have people-dog or dog-dog behavior issues and am able to allow them to warm up to me in their own time or avoid any triggers. 😊
Information Stacy B. would like to know about your pet
Before a stay, I’d be happy to set up a meet and greet so you can get to know me a little better. I like to learn from you about your dog, specifically any information that will make our stay together fun, happy, and safe. Each dog has its own personality and tendencies but I’m extremely flexible with any temperament or breed. One things I always need to be aware of is if your dog has any medical issues or behavioral tendencies.
A typical day
Because I love to stay active, your pup will get daily walks or runs, playtime, and trips to the park! I like to do everything a pup does so fetch, tug of war, and frisbee games are a must. If your pup needs a more relaxed stay, we can hang out inside and cuddle up. Whatever your pup needs, I can provide.

Availability
I currently work part-time and also pick up occasional temp gigs as needed. I am usually available Thursday evenings through Sunday mornings. I do have my own pup named Max and I try to go home and spend a few hours with him on the evenings that I'm sitting. That's usually between 6 - 8 hours that your baby will be home by themselves but I can adjust that as needed. 😊
