Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 11, helping out with my friend’s and family’s pets. This soon became a dog walking business as soon as I turned 16, being grated permission to enter neighbors homes and relied on by these neighbors to care for their fur baby just as they would. I have done this with the utmost success for the last 18 years, caring for farm animals like pigs, ducks, chickens, horses, and goats and small companion animals, like dogs, cats, hamsters, Guinea pigs, gerbils, lizards, turtles, snakes, spiders, birds, and so much more. I have worked in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant for 3 years and a kennel assistant for 2. I currently work full-time at Petco, caring for the animals and the store here in Watertown, NY.
Reviews
I was going on a family trip for about 11days, and last minute I discovered I could not bring my dog. I reached out to people in the area and Stacie got back first. She was so excited to watch Opi (dog) I knew Opi would be in good hands. We set a schedule and off I went. My trip was a little rugged so I had to trust Stacie was doing it right with little communication. I was already grateful that Stacie was able to help on such short notice, but coming home and seeing how happy and well cared for Opi was showed me that Stacie would be my go to dog sitter every time.

At home, I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, a Guinea pig, 2 bearded dragons, and a fish tank full of life. The animals are cared for twice a day, with my current schedule. While the dogs and cats free roam the house. My dogs are walked, trained, fed, and exercised twice and my cats are free fed with wet food in the morning. Liter boxes are scooped everyday to avoid any illness or smell. Dogs are frequently let out to release themselves for I have a fenced in backyard. When caring for your pet, I would follow your schedules and routines. If a schedule or routine isn’t provided, I will create one and submit it to you for verification before taking the job.
Information Stacie L. would like to know about your pet
Please inform me of any special needs or breed specific behaviors that your pet may have, so I may adjust my handling accordingly. All pets are different and should be interacted with hesitation and an open mind.
A typical day
Stimulating your pet both mentally and physically is my main priority! Pets are like people, in a way, wanting to indulge in their favorite activities and discover new and arousing things around them, based on their personality. We’ll figure out what stuff your pet enjoys to do with me, based on your own activities, and stick to a routine to make sure everyone is fully exhausted, both mentally and physically, by the end of the day.

Availability
I’m currently working full-time, but this is due to the lack of animal care needed from me outside of Petco. With more pet owners scheduling, the less and less I would work for petco. I usually offer care 3 times a day, or cages animals stay with me. The visits are usually for dogs, cats, and fish. :) soon I will own my own building to operate 24 hour care for more pets at a time!
