Since the age of four, all I've wanted to do was become a dog trainer, but I got sucked into corporate America making good money (as many do), and put my dreams on hold. In 2016 I decided I was going to go for it. I saved money, stepped down from my director position, and am now working for the same company part time from home. I start dog training school in the fall of 2018 and am so excited and nervous (good nervous)! I figure following my dreams 32 years later is better than never. Two things that sum me up are dogs and pizza. They are my obsessions. I love all animals, but dogs are my heart. My husband and I have two rescues at home- an 8.5 year old boy named Jack and a 3 (almost 4) year old girl named Piper. I am K9 CPR and first aid certified, can administer oral meds, work with dogs who've had a recent surgery (Jack has had 2 ACL surgeries), gain trust from nervous pups, go for jogs with up to three large dogs for up to three miles (10 minute miles), play, and lounge with your dogs. It's what makes me happy.
