My love for animals started young. Growing up on a farm, I earned a strong respect for animals and a deep understand of how smart and affectionate they can be. I was exposed to a variety of animals on our family farm but spent the most time with our pet dogs. Dog sitting for friends and family has always been a common side job throughout my life. My husband and I recently moved to Long Island with our Shiba Inu and rescue cat. Our Shiba is 7 years old and can preform roughly 20 tricks, let's just say I have a slight obsession with bonding through training. Our cat is a year old, relatively new to the family. Both are good with other dogs and enjoy a good sprint around the backyard. Being new to the area, our dog doesn't have many playdate options. I was drawn to Rover for the potential of additional fury friends. My husband and I have also done our fair share of travel and know how difficult it can be to find a pet sitter you can trust. We would love the opportunity to take on your pet as a part of our small family, even if it's just for a short 30 minute walk during the day. Everyone needs a little exercise, especially those high energy pups out there.
