We live on a quiet street on the East side. Our house is busy with 2 teenagers and 2 dogs. We love our pets, and we know how important it is to find someone you trust when you need to leave them behind. We had good boarding experiences ourselves when we used Rover, so we built a fence in our backyard in order to take in other people’s dogs. Our dogs were rescues from the Dane County Humane Society in May 2017, and we hired a trainer to teach us how to work with them. We gained some valuable experience this way, and we have enjoyed watching the changes in our pets as time has passed. Staci is a pharmacist, Steve invests in real estate. Our schedules are flexible, so we have plenty of time to care for dogs. We normally walk them twice a day, along with ours. There is usually somebody home, but if we leave, we crate our dogs so that they are never unsupervised with yours. We have a fenced yard, so the dogs go outside frequently. We use the dog parks sometimes, as well. We typically don't invite dogs onto the furniture, but we are flexible with pets who are used to being allowed there.
