Fun, safe, and stimulating breaks!

Pet care experience

I have provided dog walking services for relatives and several long-term, repeat Rover clients over the last several years. I have my own small dog named Barbara (4 years old) who I have raised and trained from puppyhood, and I previously helped care for my family dog for 13 years, including his senior care needs. I am happy to help with puppy care and training - including crate training, house training, and new commands. I am attentive to your requests and needs for your pet, and will provide you with detailed notes and lots of pictures after every service! I know how hard it can be to have to leave your beloved friend alone for the day, and I love to help put clients’ minds at ease by providing a fun, safe, and stimulating break for their pup. If this is something you need, I would love to schedule a meet and greet at your convenience!

Stacey is super friendly and personable, and really loved get thorough updates on my dog’s walks. She stayed to give her extra snuggles, and even loving for my cats as well. I would happily hire her again!

Stacey has had our new pup out for walks over the past few weeks and has given us great feedback on her Rover cards after each walk as we are still getting to know our new dog. Stacey has been friendly and responsive during all our of communications and I would be happy to recommend her and would engage her again.

Stacey would make a remarkable dog sitter. She has a deep compassion and love of animals. It is her dream to own a large piece of property and have some pets of her own one day. She loves taking family and friend's dogs for a walk and playing with them. There is no one more suited for the position of dog sitter. At the moment her career position as an environmental scientist keeps her away from her home base for long periods of time, which makes it impossible to have a pet of her own.

Stacey is an extremely loving and caring person. She is nurturing, kind, reliable and patient. She always has the pet's interest in mind, as she walks, plays, and relaxes with them. Stacey has taken excellent care of the family pets, and cares deeply for every one of them. It is clear she knows a great amount about dogs as well, and is an excellent listener if there are any special concerns. I would recommend Stacey to all pet owners, without hesitation.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pup will always be safely leashed on our walks, and I am always attentive to any potential safety issues - traffic, other dogs, etc. I am always cautious with meet and greets of other dogs, checking in with other owners and paying close attention to body language during any interactions. I will avoid meet and greets with other dogs as well if this is preferred or required for your pets’ needs! I have my own small, timid dog, and am very comfortable with advocating for a dog’s need for space when required. If you are working on any training let me know! I always want to provide consistency and will diligently follow any rules/training needs that you have with your pet.

Information Stacey O. would like to know about your pet

How does your dog react to other dogs? How does your dog react to other animals? (Eg., cats, or other small animals). Do they have a high prey drive? What are the rules regarding food, treats, and behaviour? E.g. is your dog allowed on the couch? Does your dog have any quirks I should be aware of, or behaviours you are trying to change? What is your dog’s favourite activity? :)

A typical day

I’d love to meet you and your pet and discuss the best kind of break for your pup! I’m happy to play games or fetch, go for nice long walks or hikes, have some snuggle time, and/or help with any training you might be working on. I will always let your dog take all the time they want to sniff and meander while we’re outside - after all, it’s their walk!
