I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 11 years old, starting with raising my Great Dane, Darwin. Taking care of him has taught me a lot about caring for and handling dogs of all ages and sizes , and has helped me learn how to better understand dogs.

I am available to walk dogs, take them to dog parks, check in on them, and let them out to use the bathroom. I take a more gentle approach, treating them with the same respect as I would another person. I’m not afraid of dogs getting a little rowdy, however I am able to calm most down if the need arises. I pay careful attention to a dogs body language to read their mood, which helps me prevent or avoid situations that could be dangerous to the dog or to me.

It’s important for me to know if your dog has any behavioral issues such as aggression or is prone to biting, and it is especially important for me to know their reaction to strangers approaching or entering their home.
A typical day
I love taking dogs on long walks and like to switch up the route frequently to stimulate them mentally. Water breaks and rest breaks are always included, and walks can be as long as you request them to be.

Availability
I am a full time undergraduate student at SAIC, and most of my classes are in the morning. I am able to work any afternoon aside from Tuesday’s and Thursdays.
