Hi, my name is Sophie and I’m a rising sophomore at Rice University. As a college student, I have been looking for a flexible and rewarding activity for my free time and Rover is ideal! I absolutely love dogs and miss being around them while at college. In my neighborhood back home in Ohio, I often walked dogs for fun because I found it to be an enjoyable activity and a good way to get some fresh air. I also dog sat a number of dogs while their owners were out of town. I’m an active individual who enjoys walking, running, and biking so I’ll incorporate many walks and outdoor activities in my time with your dog(s). I would love to have my own dog here, but that just isn’t possible so I’m really excited to have Rover as a way to spend quality time with them!

I have known Sophie since she was a young girl, and she has always been the most caring person I know. Her love of animals and dedication to helping others have always been a part of who she is. She treats all animals like her own beloved pets, making her the perfect person to entrust with your own special companions.
Highly recommend Sophie!! Left my dog in her hands for a long weekend and she not only took great care of her but played with her and sent me updates of what they were up to! Will definitely be using again!
Sophie has baby sat and walked dogs for years. She has also volunteered in hospice for three years. I say this because she is very observant and kind to animals and people alike. She knows that each dog is an individuals with his or her own attachments and leanings. She observes carefully and works with different dogs differently but is also able to guide dogs when walking and understand when contact with another dog is good or not so good. I recommend her very highly for dog walking or pet sitting.

A typical day
With dogs I love to go on lots of walks, play in the yard if there is one, or just hang out and give lots of belly rubs once the dog is ready to settle in for the evening. I also love biking and running so if your dog is up for some faster-paced exercise I am glad to provide it.
