Pet care experience
I absolutely love dogs. I mostly have experience with medium-large dogs, but would be very excited to get to know smaller or larger dogs - I don't discriminate! I have had my 5-year old Labrador retriever, Bear, with me for his life, but he has just recently gone to spend some time with my parents, as I just moved to the area and want to settle down for a few months. I had a dog growing up and also understand the needs of older dogs. I love to go the the beach, so if your dog likes to swim I would be happy to take him/her swimming as well at the dog beach. I have experience training puppies and maintaining good behavior. I am currently substitute teaching and instructing SCUBA diving before I plan to get a full time teaching position next year. I was able to book Sophie hours before my flight after previous sitter plans fell through. She was very accomadating and kept me updated throughout my time away. I would definitely recommend Sophie and plan on using her services again.
I am absolutely amazed at how caring and competent Sophie was when she took care of my baby (an 11 yr. old Lab). She made me feel better about leaving him. He was well taken care of and Sophie sent me updates letting me see how happy he was without me! When I need a sitter for my baby, I would feel very lucky to have Sophie take care of him again. We had a scheduling conflict and she even brought him home for me! She is obviously a dog lover who will go the extra mile!
Sophie took care of my 1.5 year old redbone hound who has plenty of energy, and she made sure that he had plenty of opportunities to burn it off at the dog park, in the backyard, and on long walks. Her house is great for dogs, with plenty of room to run around. Outstanding communication and professionalism throughout. Highly recommended and I would certainly trust Sophie with my dog again!
We want to complement Sophie for taking such good care of our pets. We had another pet sitter that was wonderful but lived to far and Sophie was just as good and very caring for our pups. Sophie did a wonderful job in taking care of them. She gave our Lab her medications for her belly rash and came home with MUCH improvement from her rash. They were well fed and taken care of and she was only 20 minute away. Job well done, I recommend Sophie to anyone who needs a dog sitter!!!
