Caring, Reliable & Active Dog Lover
Pet care experience
Animals have been a central part of my life since day one—I’ve raised and cared for 9 horses (including my own, Hugo Boss), 4 high-energy dogs (2 German Shepherds and 2 Dutch Shepherds), and 2 cats. I’ve raised all my dogs from puppies and have hands-on experience with training, including teaching my dog Skip agility and dock jumping. What sets me apart is my deep understanding of animal behavior, especially with high-energy and working breeds. I’m extremely in tune with their needs, body language, and alerts—whether it’s time for play, exercise, or just some extra love. I provide not just care, but a calm, confident presence that helps pets feel safe and understood.

Reviews

Sophie is attentive and quite competent. We couldn't have asked for a better caregiver for our pups. We would definitely hire her again.

We’re so grateful to Sophie for helping out with George on our big wedding day! She was communicative, kind, and incredibly helpful. She took George on a nice 30-minute walk, made sure he was fed, and spent time hanging out with him. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands while we were away. Her support made our day that much more relaxing. Thank you, Sophie!

Sophie was great with my dog Oscar at his meet and greet. She had a positive energy and was thorough in asking questions. I’m looking forward to Sophie caring for my pup!
I couldn't ask for a better pet caregiver! She is very dependable, energetic, and most importantly loves animals. She's cared for my dogs and cats and truly cares about them.

Safety, trust & environment
I will easily adapt to the environment I am in for the dogs best needs. Whether that is a fenced in yard, taking them to the local dog park, or even on walks. I am there to provide the best care for your pets!
Information Sophie N. would like to know about your pet
It’s really helpful to know your dog’s daily routine, energy level, and any specific needs—like medical conditions, triggers (like other dogs or loud noises), and how they are on leash. I’d also love to know their favorite toys, treats, and what helps them feel safe or calm when you’re away. The more I know, the better I can care for them just like you would!
A typical day
A typical day starts with a walk or some outdoor time to get their energy out and keep them happy. I stick to their usual routine—meals, potty breaks, and any medications if needed—while adding in fun, like playtime with toys, fetch, or tug-of-war. I also love giving them mental stimulation with training games or puzzle toys. Throughout the day, I make sure they get lots of love, attention, and exercise, whether it’s a cozy cuddle session or an energetic walk. Every dog is different, so I always try to match their personality and needs to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for.

Availability
I’m currently doing research at Hope College, so I’m free every day after 3:30 p.m.—and I have a flexible midday break that allows me to check in on pets or go for walks during lunch hours. My schedule during the week is very adaptable, and I’m completely available on weekends. Whether it’s drop-ins, walks, or overnight stays, I can easily fit pet care into my routine and prioritize your pet’s needs. I’m also available to stay at your home during the week or weekends to give your pets consistent care and companionship.
