Hi! I’m Sophie, and recently new to Rover. I’m a nursing student at SWCC, and have two kids. I’m a single mom, with a busy schedule, so what’s better than pet sitting? I’ve had animals growing up my entire life and genuinely consider animals part of the family vs. “pets“. I’ve had a plethora amount of experience working animal shelters, dog walking and giving a helping hand when needed. I fostered a weak puppy when brought to quarantine in the SPCA in Manteo, N.C. when their liter was rescued from a previous shelter. I nurtured him back to good health until he was adopted by my friend and has lived a very loving, healthy life! I have a passion for animal rights, and my love for animals is an understatement to say the least. I owned a boxer for 6.5 years (so, I’m bias to boxers), but I love all dogs and treat them as if they were my own. Being a dog owner myself (not at the moment) I understand the hesitation and skepticism with having trustworthy + dependable care for your pet. I’m able to provide both professional, personal references as well as opting in for a drug + criminal screening if requested! I hope to hear from you soon :)
