Hi There! I'm a lifelong animal lover with a commitment to quality care. I have experience caring for puppies, elderly dogs, dogs with disabilities and/or medications, very large dogs and behavior problem dogs. I started professionally caring for animals when I was a teenager by volunteering at the Oregon zoo where I had the opportunity to care for and train a variety of animals including (but not limited to!) rabbits, goats, ferrets, reptiles, birds and invertebrates. While completing my undergraduate degrees I spent four years working for the Rhode Island School of Design’s nature lab caring for the live animal residents and educating students about the natural world. After completing school I returned to the Pacific Northwest and up until the COVID crisis I was working as a client care advocate at a veterinary behavior clinic. Drawing from my experience in the veterinary behavior field, my goal on walks is to engage the dog's brain as well as their body! Using exclusively science-based positive reinforcement training, I will help your pup work on any skills or behaviors you'd like to see them improve, like polite leash walking, desensitization to triggering stimuli or just fun tricks!
