Pet care experience
I have experience walking, training, and looking after dogs. My personal experience includes the 11 years growing up I took care of my Golden Retriever/Chow mix, Rosey. My family is the true definition of dog lovers, and we have been raised around different sizes, breeds, and ages of dogs. I am available to walk dogs week days, Monday-Friday, after 1:30. I am available to host dogs at my house, on weekdays as well Monday-Thursday. I have a fenced in yard, with plenty of room to run around and play catch. I have a huge dog park less than 5 minutes from my house. I also have access to many trails and hiking paths close by. My parents, Scott and Cathy are also around and have had dogs in the house their entire lives. We currently do not have any pets in our house, so we are always looking for a companion to play with/walk.

Sophie has taken care of our two-year-old puppy on several occasions. Our dog is shy but loves Sophie. Sophie's love for animals is easy to see when she's around them... even if it's not her dog. I think Sophie would be a great dog walker, caretaker, etc. I highly recommend her for her character, her work ethic but most of all for her joy in being around animals. Your pet will be excited every time she comes to your door!
Sophie has cared for our dog when we were traveling. She made sure our dog, Ruby, was fed every day and also given a walk every day. But more importantly than that she showed so much compassion for our dog as if Ruby were her own dog. That meant a lot to us knowing our dog was in good loving hands while we were away. Sophie was our first choice as a dog sitter when we needed one. Sophie shows so much compassion for dogs in general and would be a benefit to anyone needing help with their dog. Sophie is kind-hearted, disciplined, and determined and her love for dogs extends back to early childhood where she participated in the introduction to and selection of the soon-to-be family dog at a local rescue shelter. Dependable and loving dog caregiver.
Sophie will take great care of your Dog! She knows they are a precious member of your family. She cared for her dog Rosey (A Golden Retriever/SharPei/Chow mix) for almost 12 years before she passed in 2019. She has taken care of, and walked, multiple extended family dogs such as a black lab, golden retriever, 2 pugs, border collie. She loves the South Hill Dog Park. Sophie is responsible, caring, and hardworking -- she finished her Sophomore year at Gonzaga, as a math major, in spring, 2020 with a high GPA. (She is also a math tutor). Sophie has a tender heart and is a total dog lover.

A typical day
We will go on lots of dog park excursions as well as exploring the neighborhoods in my area. We will toss lots of toys in the backyard until they are too tired to keep going!

Availability
I am typically available in the afternoons! from around 2-6 I can do dog walks. I can board dogs during the week days usually Monday-Friday. I will usually be away from my home weekends but not always.
