Great with dogs of all temperament!
Pet care experience
I grew up with a dog by my side, and can't imagine life without one. I'm very good with older, skittish, and nervous dogs, as well as energetic dogs in need of attention and stimulation, and all dogs in between. I'm happy to give them all the attention they need! I have a few years experience in the walking, sitting, and basic grooming of dogs, as well as a lifetime of helping care for my own pups. While I grew up with labradors, I have experience walking and sitting for dogs as small as a pomeranian, and as large as a pit bull. Just let me know if you'd like me to wash your dog, how often you'd like him or her walked, and any other desires, like if you'd like me to take them to a dog park. I have my own car so I'd be happy to take them where you want them to go! My first priority is your dog's wellbeing and happiness. I can't wait to get to know your sweet dog!

Sophie has an intuitive sense of dogs and their needs. She is gentle and attentive, and yet she knows how to be appropriately firm according to the dog's response. Sophie grew up with three family dogs, all big and rambunctious. As they grew into older age she tempered her interaction to meet their needs. She has good experience with a variety of dogs as a walker and a dog/house sitter. She is familiar with all things dog: walks, kennels, discipline, medications, etc. Sophie is especially loving and knows how to earn canine trust. Best of all, she really loves dogs, and the dog can tell.
Sophie has watched and visited with my dogs several times, and I've had a great experience with her. My dogs love her, and it's clear that she adores all dogs. She's very responsible, and I feel safe leaving my dogs with her when I'm out of town. She also knows how to discipline dogs in a safe and intelligent manner, that encourages good behavior, and results in no adverse emotional or mental stress on the part of the dog. My dogs respect her and feel safer around her because of this. Additionally she was extremely patient and caring when my dogs got sick at her house, while they were staying for a few days with her (although I can imagine how stressful that was). I have also met her dogs, and they were both very happy and well-adapted.
