Pet care experience
Having grown up with dogs I am experienced with their care and have raised my own dog, Toby from a puppy and been responsible for his training. I use positive reinforcement techniques to train tricks and obedience and am confident toilet training puppies and giving baths. I have also taken Toby to agility classes.

Sophie is a naturally caring person, especially around animals. I have entrusted her to walk and look after my poochon on a number of occasions which she has done in a caring and safe manner. I would feel very comfortable leaving her to look after my dog as I know they would be well taken care of. Having known Sophie my entire life I have known her to always been passionate about animal welfare. She is responsible and loving, and I happily recommend her to anyone as a loving dog caregiver.

I live in a spacious ground floor flat and have a grassy garden which is not fully secure but is good for going to the toilet on a lead. When driving to walking sites, I have a car hammock and dog seatbelts for car journeys, and always bring water and snacks for dogs. My flat is "escape proof" as there is an entrance hall. I am happy to have dogs on the sofa/bed and love a cuddle. I can use a crate to sleep in at night if required.

Let me know if your dog has any special requirements or behaviours to be aware of. Unfortunately due to having a young dog of my own I can't take dogs that may show aggression to other dogs, display any resource guarding behaviour, or who do not tolerate giddy playfulness. However, if your dog is friendly and playful then I'm sure they will have a great time!
A typical day
My dog Toby is very high energy and playful and enjoys playing and running around with other friendly dogs. I will only accept dogs with a similar temperament who would enjoy a playmate. We love walking in Wyming Brook, Fox Hagg, Rivelin Valley, and Grenoside woods. I have lots of toys for use in the house and out on walks, and Toby loves to share these with his friends After a good run around outdoors we have a peaceful home environment and love to chill out on the sofa and have lots of cuddles :)

Availability
I work from home so am around all the time, with two 1-hour walks per day or longer walks at the weekend. Aside from that my schedule is flexible and unavailability is reflected in my calendar.
