Hi there! I am Sophie, I'm 26 and live in Hampshire. I am very passionate about animal welfare and do a lot for my local animal charities. I have a real passion for rescue animals. I have a rescue dog and horse & previously have had rescue cats. I am very calm, gentle and understanding with animals. I only train through positive reinforcement and place a high level of importance on animal enrichment. I'm very reliable and trustworthy and will treat your lovely pets like my own. I also have a rescue horses and vast equestrian background, so am also able to provide assistance for horses & donkeys, if required. Sophie looked after the 2 dogs (mad staffie crosses) for 10 days at our home. The dogs absolutely loved her, she took them for long walks, fussed them and looked after our home, I can't praise her high enough, made our holiday so much easier. When we got home, the dogs slept for nearly 2 days, it was great!! I have no hesitation in recommending Sophie for any doggie duties, and we will certainly be using her again.
Sophie has been a real help to my family, not only has she house sat for me but also for my grandmother who has two elderly dogs and a large estate to care for. Sophie is great with all animals large and small, which is perfect for us as we have a cat, two rabbits, two ducks, fish and two horses. We have found it really difficult to find house sitters who my cat actually trusts but Sophie is fantastic with her, our kitty is at ease and well looked after, meaning that we can go away without any worries! Sophie is knowledgeable, kind, caring and trustworthy.
I have known Sophie for several years now and cannot recommend her enough to look after your animals. She is the most loving and caring person towards animals I have ever met. She is extremely reliable when it comes to her arrangements and would never keep you waiting. She will look to understand the animals needs and understands that each individual animal's requirements are different. I would highly recommend Sophie to look after your pets if you ever need to leave them with someone for any period of time.

I have no breed, size or age preferences. All walks will just be your dog(s) and mine (1). It would be helpful to know your dogs energy/fitness level ahead so I can plan a walk according to their needs. All dogs off lead must be trained, sociable, have good consistent recall and be safe around people and other dogs. I do have training leads available for dogs who's recall needs improvement. All dogs must be safe & sociable regardless of lead/no lead.
A typical day
Me & my dog are up for any sort of walk, so we can cater to fit your dogs needs. I like to keep walks different and versatile to incorporate different terrains where possible & a mixture of woodland & open spaces to provide just as much mental stimulation as physical - but all can be catered to your dogs needs.

Availability
I work Full Time for an Animal Welfare Charity Monday-Friday so am only available for dog walking over the weekend, however I am available for drop in visits/cat sitting on weekday evenings. From March I will be available for dog walking on a Friday as well. I am due to get married next year, so this is a good way to earn a few extra pennies towards the big day, and also a welcome distraction from wedding planning!
