I am able to care for pets in a wide variety of ways thanks to expensive experience. Where’s your dog’s favorite spot to be scratched? CATS: Does your cat have any allergies or sensitivities? Does your cat take any medications? Is your cat people-shy? Pet care experience
As a college student studying Zoology, animals and their care are more than a side hustle or a hobby: they’re my world. Apart from my academic coursework in animal care and welfare, I have more than eight years of personal care and volunteer experience with numerous animals, including but not limited to: cats, dogs, horses, rats and mice, hamsters, snakes, various types of lizards and amphibians, goats, chickens, sheep, cattle, and even invertebrates such as tarantulas and scorpions. Rest assured, I’ll never discriminate against your furry pal! I have experience giving oral medication, both liquid and pill, as well as insulin injections and subcutaneous fluids. I also have experience caring for elderly animals — like my 18 year old cat, Maya! I can provide feeding, brushing, hoof care, walking, exercise, medication, play time, turning out, litterbox cleaning and much more! I have a driver’s license and my own transportation, and my hours and pay are flexible. I am willing to drive 60-90 minutes depending on needs. As mentioned prior, I have extensive prior experience volunteering at various shelters, vets and farms assisting with animal care, as well as my own personal experience caring for a diverse array of pets. I am happy to gather recommendations from organizations I work with. While caring for your pet or pets, I will regularly keep in contact with you and update you with both text and photos (if desired), along with keeping a dedicated spreadsheet of feeding/watering/grooming times and overall health to guarantee your peace of mind.
Reviews
Sophia has been a consistent friend and caregiver for my cats! She is always dependable, even on short notice-- I don't know what I would have done without her on a few occasions. I have recommended her to friends and co-workers numerous times, and was almost always told about how helpful she was. 10/10
