Pet care experience
I love animals and grew up with dogs. I miss having my own pup, and would love to care for yours! I'm very active and love spending time outside, so dog walks are really fun and a great break during my work day. I am a photographer establishing my business here in Seattle and I make my own schedule, which is very flexible and mostly allows me to work from my home (or yours, if your pet needs some company apart from being taken out for walks). Since so much of my work is computer-based, I appreciate doggie diversions to cuddle, play, or go for walks as much as they do! I'm very responsible & respectful and appreciate open, direct communication. Though I have a car, I enjoy walking as my way of getting around whenever possible. I also really enjoy hiking and always jump at the chance to bring a trail pup along. Please reach out to me if you think I'd be a good fit. I'd love to meet you and your pet.

Sonja was super sweet with our pups! The pictures we received showed they enjoyed lots of attention.
We were gone for 10 days and our anxious 13 year old dog, Eleanor, seemed right at home with Sonja taking care of her. Eleanor is a rescue dog which has grown very attached to me and has had problems being left in others care when we were away. Ellie had no issues staying home with Sonja. Sonja understood that Ellie needed people to be around her to feel secure and she gave her that attention. I would not hesitate a minute asking her to watch Eleanor and stay in our house again.
Sonja was absolutely great with our dogs. She was patient with our little one who wasn’t feeling great that morning, and played ball with both of them. She sent us photos of them in the yard, and brought her laptop to work from which was completely fine with us. We are definitely using her again!
Sonja was super responsive and did a great job with Max, who can be difficult! Highly recommended!

A typical day
I like getting outdoors with furry friends and exploring the different neighborhoods in the city-- and there are so many great parks in Seattle! I love long walks outside, and if your pup is into it and well-socialized we could hit up a nearby dog park. Time at home is relaxing and fun too. I'll give your dog some cuddles and a snack, and listen to some relaxing music while they take a snooze if they're tuckered.
