Pet care experience
I grew up with plenty of animals-- dogs, cats, horses, and all sorts of small animals! My parents put up with driving me around to pet-sitting gigs starting at a young age, probably to keep me from begging for another dog. I'm patiently waiting for the right time to adopt my own dog, so I love to spend my time wisely in the meantime by taking care of others' dogs. I've just recently moved to Bellingham from WI, so the opportunity to explore the town with your dog would be awesome! I had quite a few clients in Milwaukee within the last few years and am excited to meet the dogs and their owners of Bellingham. I'm easily reachable and quick to respond! I can certainly watch other animals besides dogs too, just ask.

Sonja is fantastic! We are so happy we found her. She took excellent care of our two pets (small dog and cat) and our house while we were away on a weekend trip. She took our dog on several hiking adventures and sent photos of the animals playing and cuddling with her. We will definitely ask Sonja to stay the next time we need to be away. Thanks again Sonja!

Vacations should be relaxing, but when you have to leave your pet in someone else's care, a vacation can become very stressful. Over the last 3 years, we have left Buddy in Sonja's care anywhere from a day to 8 days. Buddy is a senior, but requires a lot of exercise and attention. Every time we return from a trip it is obvious that Sonja has cared for Buddy to the point of him barely missing us. She is a trustworthy individual who has proven she can provide ample attention and care for our pet. It would be difficult for us to leave Buddy in anyone else's care. Sonja has experience with both large and small breeds, and her love for animals is so evident in the way that she treats our pup. I wouldn't recommend anyone else!
I've left my dog Ginger in Sonja's capable and kind hands many times. I know that while I'm away Sonja will make sure Ginger is well cared for and given plenty of love and attention. Sonja's the best!

I'm definitely not picky, I like all dogs! It would be helpful to know anything behavioral, how they interact with other dogs, what they like/don't like, etc.
A typical day
I enjoy anything outside! From neighborhood blocks to wooded trails in the city, I'm up to explore. I know there are some neat dog parks and dog-friendly hiking trails that are just a short drive, and I do have a car, so I'm up to check those out, too. If your dog digs a good patio in the summer, then so do I.
