I come from a dog loving family. I grew up with both dogs and cats. We owned a Doberman, a Labrador-German Shepherd mix. I assumed the responsibilities of feeding, bathing and walking. I often took my dogs on car rides as they absolutely lobed the fresh air hitting their faces. Currently, I do not have any pets as my Landlord doesn't allow them. Being able to spend time and get to know other pets would fill a huge void in my life. I truly believe dogs are individuals with their own temperament and personality and deserve to be treated as such. I also don't believe a dog can be showered with too much love. When communicating with dogs i think it's essential that you are aware of your tone as as they do respond accordingly. Most importantly, I think the most successful dog owners are those who are patient and somewhat flexible because man's best friend will challenge you from time to time.
