Terrible ! I have used Rover for a 1 year now and have always found amazing, caring and responsible sitters. But this was a lesson of a lifetime. If you want to to be informed only an half an hour after you dropped your baby off that he needs to be picked up because the sitter’s particular family member cannot sleep, then by all means go ahead and book your stay with her. Additionally, it is absolutely possible she will not cancel your reservation because she would like to retain her booking fee, (inspite of asking the pet to be picked up in 30 mins because someone can’t sleep at home.... hilarious, I know!), she is your best bet. On a serious note, people should only sign up with Rover when they want to provide warm, loving service in a homely environment. The key word here is service; if people aren’t aware of the meaning of service(s), then they should think twice before signing up on this platform. This is not a weekend stint to earn a quick buck. People’s schedules are planned well in advance and they pay for the best possible care for their baby while they are away. Unable to care for someone is only considered under extenuating circumstances and from my understanding (or from the broader world’s understanding), family member not being able to sleep at noon does’t exactly fit the definition of extenuating circumstances. I did a meet and greet with her a day before and she appeared cold and unfriendly towards Atticus. I let it go thinking everyone has a different style of showing love and affection and since she claimed she had her own fur baby back home, I thought I was reading too much into her body language. I am appalled and infuriated by this behaviour. We were already on our way, after dropping Atticus, but had to return to pick him up and cancel our plan. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND !!

Somer took great care of our then 10 week old puppy while we were at work! This was our first booking with Rover and we were a bit nervous. We asked to meet Somer a day before the stay and she kindly obliged. We got updates on our pup throughout the stay. She even dropped our pup off at home after her stay. Our pup seemed to have enjoyed her day with Somer. Definitely recommend!
