Dogs of Ainsdale; We❤️ little legs

Pet care experience

We donate a percentage of Rover earnings to 🧡 The Golden Paw Club at dogs4rescue 🧡 We are extremely busy at present; but if your pup has stayed with us before and you can't see the dates you need please contact us as we may still be able to book in our regular holidogs :) 💚We welcome multi-dog households 💚We take care of small to medium breeds only. 💚A meet and greet is required before any overnight boarding. ❌We DO NOT take un-neutered male dogs I am a retired Police Sergeant and my partner is an ex-police officer. We have been around dogs of all sizes our entire lives; from Miniature poodles to Alsatians (who we have been trusted to care for as puppies prior to their K9 policing careers). We are confident in our ability to care for and exercise your dogs according to their individual needs. Having a pack of small dogs of our own means we have a busy, happy, tongue flapping and tail wagging household. As a retired police officers we fully understand the need for safety around your fur baby. We are able to physically defend ourselves and your pet if required. We will always meet you and your dog before finalising a booking, this is normally a visit to our home to meet us. You can ask any questions you may have, see that your dog feels comfortable & that they behave as they normally would. We understand how difficult it can be to leave your loved one/s in a strangers company and the aim of the meet and greet is primarily for you get to know us. It's also extremely important for us to meet your dog/s, see how you treat them, how they respond to us and allow us to replicate this when they stay with us. Visiting our home allows them and you to get to know the new environment. Most pup parents like to see where their precious family member will be staying while they are away; although you come to us as customers you will usually leave as friends! You can drop your pups off with us on the first day of their stay. We usually stage manage you leaving by playtime in the garden as you slip away for your holiday. We have a large, sunny garden, it is totally enclosed with 6 ft fencing, is flagged and has artificial grass to ensure it is clean and safe for your pup to exercise and play in. We use Fresh Pet professional cleaner to disinfect our garden on a weekly basis. We live on the beach side of the railway in Ainsdale. We are on a quiet and safe estate in a very low crime area. We are in walking distance of Ainsdale Beach and have a path leading from our street to the pinewoods, sand dunes, nature reserve or beach; meaning we are able to provide short and long walks, both varied and safe. When staying with us we will walk your doggy according to your usual routine; so just let us know what they are used to. Your dogs have the freedom of our home. If they love lazing on the sofa, they will find a comfy corner sofa and a snuggle chair. We have multiple doggy beds throughout the house so when it comes to sleep time; our home is theirs. They can sleep upstairs, downstairs or on our bed depending on what they are used to. 💥URGENT CASES 💥If you have any urgent or special requests for boarding (especially if you have stayed with us before) please contacts us to discuss your needs - We may well be able to help. We understand the need for flexibility as we have been shift workers ourselves and know how difficult this can be.

Maggie adores her visits to Siobhan’s. She has access to long walks and playtime with other dogs. The house is immaculate and we get regular photo updates of Maggie’s adventures. I would never go anywhere else when booking a dog sitter.

Siobhan and Vickie are brilliant. We get daily updates and photos. Our dog is clearly treated like a prince and very happy with all the friends he makes when he stays. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Our own pups are crated overnight, so if your pup uses a crate please let us know as we have a spare large crate and it may save you folding yours down to bring with you 🙌🏻😊 We have a large, secure, 6ft fenced garden. It has artificial grass and is flagged to make sure it is a clean, safe and secure for your fur baby to play in and explore. We use Fresh Pet professional cleaner to disinfect our garden on a weekly basis. With your permission we can also fit your fur baby with an Apple Air Tag during their stay with us to provide an extra level of security and trackability and we are happy for you to leave any trackers or tracers on your pup. We live on the beach side of the railway in Ainsdale. We are on a quiet and safe estate and in a very low crime area. Our dogs are fully vaccinated (including kennel cough), they are flea and worm treated with on a monthly basis. We ask that all our furry guests are up to date with their vaccinations and parasite treatments before we meet. We may ask you to show proof of your dogs vaccination status; please don't be offended as your dogs safety and the safety of other peoples dogs and our own is a priority to us. If your pup requires treatment for fleas or worms whilst in our care this will incur an additional cost of vet quality treatment (you will always be consulted prior to any required treatment)

Information Siobhan E. would like to know about your pet

Meet & Greets are essential and non negotiable. They are a free, no obligation consultation prior to any service being delivered by us. This is important for us to understand your dogs routine, feeding schedule, any sensitivities, health conditions, reactivity, nervousness, unusual habits and the exact services you require. It also allows us to decide if we are able to cater to your needs. It is of the upmost importance that you give us full information regarding your dogs behaviour. We will not accept looking after aggressive dogs. If your dog whilst being cared for by us shows aggressive tendencies towards us, other people or dogs, we will contact Rover support. They will speak to your emergency contact/person to arrange collection of your dog or organise for another verified Rover sitter to take over. This is an extreemely rare event but we find it helps pup parents to know there are plans in place should there be any issues. If you are not entirely honest about your pets behaviour we reserve the right to return your dog to your emergency contact, find another sitter via Rover emergency support or place them into suitable Kennels for the remainder of the booking. Rover deducts a percentage of the listed fees you pay to cover their service fees & insurance fees before paying us.

A typical day

A typical day starts with breakfast, play time in the garden, a short mental stimulation session (sit, lay, stay). Then heading out and taking in all the snuffles on a walk and adventure on the beach, nature reserve, the pinewoods near our home or around the block for our frosty faced pups!. We can tailor to your dogs needs so if they have older or little legs just let us know. Evenings are spent cuddling up on the sofa, in front of the fire with tummy rubs and if suitable a kong, natural treat or chew.
