Let's walk! Let's play! Come over for a stay!

Pet care experience

I have both my DBS and insurance. I am currently working on my dog and cat first aid, along side dog training, pet behaviourist and pet nutritionist. I've taken care of dogs ever since I got my first dog at 6, I've looked after dogs in both a personal and professional experience, as I got older my neighbours, friends and family have relied on me to feed and walk and look after their pets. I've have experience with different breeds of dogs from: Boxers,Collies, non working/ untrained Cocker Spaniels/Cockerpoos/German Shepherds/Golden Retrievers/Frenchies/ Staffies and Huskies. I have experience with both puppies and older dogs. I signed up to rover as I am a big pet lover and I also love the company of a dog on walks whether this be a small walk/big walk around the neighbourhood or a walk around the park and during playtime and stimulation, I love the companionship and bond you build with pets. Throughout the 23 years of my life so far my own pets I have taken care of include cats, rabbits, dogs, hamsters, guinnie pigs, ferrets, chickens and horses. (A variety I know but I'm a lover of all animals) Please remember we do not allow visitors inside our homes for personal and safety reasons, but we do meet and greets in a big open park around the corner from ourselves.

The lovely Sinead had my one year old Sprocker Ollie at very last minute notice as I had been called into work unexpectedly. Ollie had a great time, she was absolutely brilliant with him. She sent updates throughout the day (including some adorable pictures!) and took the care to make sure that she found out anything she would need to know about him, to give him the best day possible. Thank you so much for having him in your beautiful home! I would definitely book again if I need to return to Leeds xxx

Excellent meet and greet beforehand as well as regular updates amd pictures throughout Her stay. Would highly recommend Sinead, her caring approach was exactly what Zuzu needed and excellent communication. Am sure Zuzu is looking forward to her next stay.

When looking after pets in the owners home I make sure they are well fed, have everything they need, give them effection, play time inside, this can be a game of tug of war or a belly tickle or a cuddle on the sofa. As for toilet breaks I go and stand outside with them to make sure they are okay, then once they've finished they can have a play in the garden. They have walked AM and PM, will be fed according to their daily routine.

Information Sinead F. would like to know about your pet

Medication or certain behaviours to look out for. Whether they enjoy the company of other animals or would prefer to be my sole focus. Their favourite treats I will stock up, how many treats is too many. Let me know how much food your dog eats. Does your dog understand basic commands such as sit and wait ideal for when out walking or feeding time. Does your dog take any oral medication and what do you use to give them this? Do they have a favourite toy they like to play with? How long does your dog need walking for?

A typical day

I love to stimulate dogs both physically and mentally. This being playing games or letting them explore new smells in the neighbourhood or a walk around a park near me. For drop in visits I like to stimulate dogs with play time, playing with their favourite toys with them. As a personal preference I only walk dogs on a lead, never let them roam free. This just means I'm focusing less on any fear or hesitancy in interactions with other people/dogs and the environment, and it's safer! I do let dogs have a free zoom round the back garden upon returning though.

I lead an active lifestyle and am able to spend an ample amount of time with pets in several green spaces around my area. I am available Monday to Thursdays and the odd Friday-Sunday ( this can be discussed up on booking) this is for anyone in need of help whether this be because of work commitments, you just want to enjoy a day out/family day out/ Run errands or during the school holidays no matter the reason I am on hand to look after your pet but also because I love being around animals.
