Caring Sitter at Your Service

Pet care experience

I love dog sitting because it allows me to help people and dogs at the same time. It’s a win-win! I like to go above and beyond what is required for every dog in my care. And as a student, my schedule is quite flexible. I like to see my clients as happy as possible, and also make every dog feel as comfortable as if they were at home. I have a passion for animals and nothing makes me happier to see a happy dog. I am easily reachable at all times — I send updates to let owners know how things are going, and I am highly punctual. My clients love my attention to detail and strong work ethic. I have dog sat for various breeds from small toy dogs to large Golden Retrievers. I have also volunteered at an animal shelter in my community back home in Washington D.C. When I am not petsitting I attend Pace University in New York City. I love spending time outdoors and going to the gym. I am a very active person and that is reflected in my daily routine. I enjoy traveling, keeping up to date on world events, trying new foods, and hanging out with friends and family.

I was really impressed with Simon. He was responsible, timely, reliable and communicative! I have an english bulldog that typically stays with someone she knows or boarded so this was new to me and Simon made me feel very confident in working with Rover and him. He was great about keeping me in the loop about walks and how Mel was doing throughout her stay. I would highly recommend Simon!

Amazing! Simon is like hitting the lotto! I see a big future ahead of him no matter what he does in life. His ethos and manners are beyond anything I've seen before in New York city. Not only he took amazing take care of my dog, but he went far beyond from what he was asked to do - brushing him, staying with him all day, and literally leaving the house twice as clean. "Highly recommended" is not enough!

Simon had been referred to us by a friend and every experience we have had with him has been positive. He loves what he does and his work ethic reflects that. He has watched our dog (jack russell) four times and each time we come back Jack (our dog) acts like we were never gone. He sends us updates every day and does not overlook the little details.

Simon has watched our two dogs (2 golden retrievers) for us every time we go away for a weekend or a vacation.(19 times) We keep going back to him because he is dedicated and always goes out of his way to ensure we have a good experience as well as our two dogs. When we asked him to walk the dogs a minimum of twice a day he would do four because he wanted to make sure the dogs were enjoying themselves. He is very easy to get in touch with and worked with our schedule to make it as easy for us as possible. I can only say good things about Simon and I can assure you he is a great choice!

Information Simon S. would like to know about your pet

I want to find out what a typical day for your dog is like, so I can closely mirror his/her normal schedule.

A typical day

I’ll structure our activities as closely as possible to your dog’s normal schedule. This helps with any anxiety your dog might have about being away from their owners. We’ll spend as much time together as possible, going for walks, playing with toys, or just handing out. My schedule is quite flexible and I like to go above and beyond what is required. I live on the border of the Financial District and Tribeca. I have a 600 square foot apartment with hardwood and tile floors. I don't have a backyard but there is a park across the street from me. The neighborhood is fairly quiet in the evenings and weekends. Weekdays usually get pretty busy due to all of the offices near me. The Brooklyn bridge is three blocks away and there are many trails and paths within a few blocks from me. My apartment is also easily accessible from 10 different subway lines. I am fortunate to have so many dog-friendly areas around me!
