Experienced with large dogs!

Pet care experience

I am an animal lover through and through. I have over 300 hours worth of volunteering experience with dog rescues and vet clinics. I have house-sat for a dog rescue multiple times, taking care of their approximately 16 dogs at a time (usually between 4 to 7 days). As a college student, I have another part time job, but have multiple times throughout the day to walk or check in on dogs, and ample time to house sit, for up to a week at a time! I am from a farm, and thus I have a lot of husbandry experience as it pertains to livestock, which is very helpful with dogs as well (for example, I am able and willing to give medications). I am genuinely excited to care for your pets!

There is no one more qualified to care for your pets than Sierra. She has been caring for animals all of her life. Her knowledge of dogs is impressive. She has cared for dogs, cats, sheep, elk, rabbits, birds and a hedgehog. She takes her time with all of them as her love for all animals runs deep. Sierra is extremely trustworthy. She can be counted on to do exactly what is expected of her, when it is expected. Sierra is a lead volunteer for Good Dog Rescue near Palmyra, NE. When out of town, rescue owners ask Sierra to stay at their home and care for all the rescue dogs, plus the owner's dogs, for days at a time. Rest comfortably leaving care of your precious family members in Sierra's hands. No one can provide for them better than she can.

Sierra has been volunteering at our dog rescue (Good Dog Rescue Nebraska) for several years. She is very dependable and an excellent dog person. She usually brings at least one friend along and they walk the rescue dogs or spend time socializing the dogs. I can always count on Sierra to make sure the people she brings along know that they must pay attention to the dogs and not just talk to each other. I don't think Sierra has ever met a dog that she didn't like, and she is quite good at handling each dog. Sierra has also been a house sitter for us, watching not only the rescue dogs, but our personal dogs , and the goats, chickens, cats and ducks. I would say Sierra is greatly qualified to be a dog walker for Rover! Sierra would get 5 stars from me, but I don't see where to put that.

Information Sierra W. would like to know about your pet

I do require a meet and greet for any of my services before the date of the service. This allows me to get to know your pets and you, and makes the process the smoothest. I would like to know any general preferences that your dog or cat has, such as if I should be avoiding dogs/children out on walks, if they do not like to be pet certain places, picked up etc. I am able to take care of all dog breeds, big and small!

A typical day

1-2 walks per day, snuggles, and playing with toys are all part of the deal with house sitting! With some instruction, I am also willing to continue any training the dog(s) are used to. Drop-ins include a potty break, attention, and some play time.
