Pet care experience
Born in beautiful British Columbia, I have been raised all my life with animals. Growing up I had budgie-birds, fancy chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, cats and dogs. One of my fondest childhood memories was doing the daily egg hunt in the backyard- those free range chickens could be creative!!! Every one of our animals were a cherished part of the family. We have recently said goodbye to our senior Yorkies Alley and Kneesa:(.They were our best friends, we miss them terribly. I can’t imagine replacing them. For now we are thankful to have our rescue bunnies Petunia and Melody and a small pack of regular pup friends that keep us company:). Our rabbit enclosure is in the main living area, (they are very much a loved part of our family). As such our pup visitors must be bunny friendly!

Sierra has done an amazing job taking care of my fur baby George! He has been going there for a few months now and I have to say he is treated better than I can treat him when I’m home. Sierra takes her puppies on regular visits to various parks and parts of town, ensuring they have an enriched mental and physical day. My George has actually become a more confident doggy going to her. He use to get easily scared of loud sounds, but Sierra had the patience and took the time it needed for him to become more comfortable with the sounds. Now he’s so calm when walking near loud trucks or construction sites. I truly can’t say enough about how happy I am to have found Sierra. I can go to work with my mind at ease, knowing my fur baby will be well looked after with love.
Sierra took great care of Jack for the weekend. She sent daily photos and videos. He got lots of attention and exercise and clearly had a wonderful time!
Sierra is always fantastic with our dog.. Lots of exercise and he always has a great time . Thank you Sierra for taking care of him!
Sierra was most attentive and responsive. She sent us pics and videos of Rory having a great time. The visit was short and sweet !

We offer a spacious fenced backyard and a pet friendly home with ample cozy spots to lounge in. Our sliding glass door off the deck is open for the pups to come and go as they please, with the exception of the winter months. I have experience with separation anxiety, senior doggy needs and administering injections. I’ve also had the privilege of volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary caring for disabled animals and/or animals discarded by their owners. Some of these beautiful souls went on to becoming therapy animals for children/teens with trauma. Having an animal that loves you unconditionally is truly amazing. I love them back with my whole heart and soul, they deserve it!

A few things I would like to know prior to your pups stay: -Exercise needs -On leash/off leash training -Barking tendencies -Separation anxieties -Food schedule -Allergies -Health conditions/medications -Flea control method Please note I cannot accommodate dogs that are not house trained, have nuisance barking tendencies or any form of aggression. .
A typical day
When your little one stays with us they are treated like family. We offer daily long walks, trips to dog parks if permitted and lots of snuggles and love to go around! My regular customers all say their pups are excited to come back to Sierra’s:) This is what I strive for! Every dog has unique needs- I welcome a meet and greet to discuss your pups requirements!

Availability
Currently I’m a stay at home mom living in suburban Maple Ridge. While my kids are in school I take my doggie daycare pup friends for long walks to local parks (Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows and Langley) and walks in the city. The doggies that stay with us that have separation anxiety are welcome to join me on shopping trips in our doggy stroller/doggy backpack or on leash to pup friendly businesses. All animals have their preferences and routines, we are happy to accommodate! After school my kids love to spoil our furry friends, they are excellent with doggy massages!
