Affectionate, responsible, & fun!
Pet care experience
When I was a child, our family had a beautiful white samoyed named Holly. She taught us a lot about generosity, nobility, and devotion. I've never lived without a pet in my life. A few years ago I worked for Kindness Ranch in Wyoming, which rehabilitated and adopted out dogs, mainly beagles, who had previously been utilized in laboratories and university settings. It was so inspiring to see the capacity for healing and forgiveness in these dogs. I've been walking dogs in Boulder for about a year now, and I enjoy the stress relief and healthy effects of exercising outdoors. It's so fun to make the dogs happy and give a feeling of assurance to their caring owners. I like to send lots of photos and videos!
Reviews
Our dogs are a handful, and Sierra seemed to have bit off more than she could chew. House-sitting for a long weekend with two rambunctious big dogs. While animals were fed and safe, we came back to some disarray in the house and dogs hadn't been walked daily and got stressed because of it. Sierra is super sweet and truly works to do well. I think with easier animals she might do a better job.
Sierra was a wonderful petsitter for my 2 dogs and cat. She was prompt and professional with regular updates to me. I arrived home to happy animals!
Sierra was amazing! She took excellent care of our cats while we were away on vacation. She checked in regularly during her visits and gave us updates on how they were doing. I would definitely recommend Sierra for you cat sitting needs.
All of our animals loved Sierra the moment they met her! She sends lots of updates and photos. I could really enjoy my vacation knowing that my pets were well taken care of and loved.

I do not accept dogs into my own home due to my father's severe disability (Alzheimer's). I send tons of photographs through the app or via texting, including the Signal secure messaging app.
Information Sierra B. would like to know about your pet
Any size or breed is fine, but I'm no longer accepting dogs with severe behavior issues, including aggression toward dogs or people or very strong pulling while walking on a leash. I'm also not comfortable with "escape artists" - dogs who do everything they can to run away. Feel free to discuss specifics about behavior and training with me, and any individual quirks to be careful to watch for.
A typical day
I'm getting more fit and like to jog for part of the walk, if the doggo is up for it. I enjoy teaching tricks and snuggling in bed and on the couch, if the rules allow.

Availability
I'm a part-time driver and a primary caretaker for my father, who has Alzheimer's. I prefer dogsitting gigs close to home so I can pop back and forth without a long commute. I can visit every three to five hours for potty breaks and walks, and sleep over at night.
