Experienced, knowledgeable care

Pet care experience

Hi there! My name is Siena, and I've been a dog and cat lover all my life. I grew up with rescues, and I currently have two dogs, Ande and Eda, and one cat, Pip. I've been fostering dogs for over 4 years now, and have experience with puppies as young as 1 week old and as old as 13 years old. Fostering has given me so much experience with adjusting to different dogs' energy levels, health needs, and all of their very unique personalities! Ande, Eda, Pip, and I are all so excited to meet new friends, and we can't wait to hear from you!

Siena has cared for my 81 lb English bulldog on multiple occasions. She is an extremely devoted animal lover who goes above and beyond will all pets she cares for. Extremely personable and knowledgeable as it relates to animal care, on top of owning a special needs dog of her own while at the same time devoting time to fostering multiple puppies/dogs in the Houston area. You will not go wrong in having her take after or watch your pup. She is amazing!

My dogs are both dog friendly so if yours is too I'm always happy to facilitate meet and greets if I'm boarding your pup, but if they need some quiet time I am also happy with the "crate-and-rotate" routine so that everyone has plenty of time out and about without feeling stressed with unfamiliar pups. I also am well-versed in dog behavior since I work at a rescue, so if you'd like some guidance when it comes to home visits or introducing your dog to a new person I am more than happy to work with you on that. If your dog has any aggression or has a bite history I ask that you please be honest and transparent with me.

Information Siena S. would like to know about your pet

First and foremost, I need to know if your pup gets along with mine! Ande loves meeting new dogs and will sniff them out, and is just getting used to having fun "wrestling" with other pups. He's also had his fair share of play dates with younger puppies and has always gotten along with puppies as young as 4 weeks old. Eda is full of energy and loves meeting all new pups, and is still learning some boundaries since she's still young. Please let me know if your dog is sensitive to high-energy dogs and I can accommodate that. If I am boarding your dog overnight, they must be crate trained. No exceptions. I always make sure kennels in my house are secure, comfortable with a lot of bedding (if they don't eat bedding), and somewhere I can monitor them easily. If your dog has separation anxiety I have a safe indestructible crate they can use, and I am happy to discuss any other concerns further. I will need to know that your dog is up to date on vaccines and flea/tick preventions. Please let me know if your dog is at all toy/food/leash/cat reactive. I am happy to accommodate any of these things but it always helps to know in advance!

A typical day

My older dog's favorite thing in the world is a tennis ball, and he loves chasing after them even more if he has someone to run with. My younger pup goes for playing with other pups so she loves playdates and park time! If it's too hot out or storming, I have plenty of toys for puppies and adult dogs – stuffed toys, rope toys, Kongs, Nylabones, squeaky toys, etc – and can absolutely keep them busy in the nice air conditioning! I also have a snuffle mat for mental stimulation for pups with a little extra energy, as well as some training techniques that always leave puppies a little calmer than they were before.
