Pet care experience
A little about me: I am an Occupational Therapist and live and work in Roanoke. I would love to help with your pets when I’m able. I dogsat throughout my graduate studies and have developed great clientele on and off of Rover. 🐾 Now here's a little about why I have the joy of working for Rover! Dogs are four-legged bundles of love. I am an experienced dog owner (weiner dog, beagle mix, blue heeler/Boston terrier, black & yellow labs, and good ol mutts)! As for dog type, I am not picky at all and have experience with detailed feeding and training preferences. Also open to looking over any other types of pets on a case-by-case basis 😎

I have done quite a bit of dogsitting in the client’s home but since I now have a couple fur babies myself, my preference is to keep your pets in my home! When I am boarding in my house, I usually keep my dogs separate if they do not all get along. I have two dogs and my female is very friendly (male dog is monitored and usually handled separately).

Since I am watching dogs at my home, it is important to know about separate anxiety (I have had some dogs chew/tear things up) and if so, I prefer a crate be used when I have to leave the home. Thanks!
A typical day
I have a large fenced-in backyard so this is a dog’s playground! I even have two separate areas if dogs need to be apart from one another for any reason

Availability
I work full-time in Roanoke but I and am happy to help locals with their pets at my house. I am currently on maternity leave until end of April so have pretty open availability at my house as long as dog can be crated for portions of the day or love to spend time outside! (I have a dog who has to stay separate from other dogs) At beginning of May 2024, I will return to normal availability with 8 hours out of the house. Any boarded dogs will go out in the morning around 8 and then again around 5! Occasionally potty breaks when my boyfriend is in and out during lunch breaks :)
